Lovely lodge with incredibly helpful and nice staff who make you feel welcome and at home! Good food and with an amazing view of Kilimanjaro if you are lucky to have a room on the top floor on the front side of the hotel. You can purchase excellent art work that is displayed for sale in the hotel. A big thank you to Innocent and the entire team!

I’ve stayed at Stella Maris at least half a dozen times and the staff treats us as family, especially nice after the 30 hours it takes to get there from the US. The rooms are pretty simple but comfortable, the food is good and the beer is always cold. I’m heading there in late April and look forward to seeing Teddy, Innocent and the rest of the staff.

Stayed as part of organized Mt Kilimanjaro climb through Peak Planet. Stayed the day before and after our climb. Nice, clean accommodation. Staff were extremely warm, friendly and accommodating. Food & drink was excellent. Left all belongings not required on climb with Stella Maris. All belongings were returned to us as left after our climb. This hotel is situated in the back of a grade school although when in or at the back of the hotel you would never know. My son and I walked a few blocks from the hotel. Met some delightful and curious children from the school.

We traveled to Tanzania with Ultimate Kilimanjaro to hike Mt Kilimanjaro and safari. Stella Maris was a very clean, comfortable and friendly hotel prior to our hike. The staff was friendly, the restaurant food was great and our room was clean and had all the amenities needed before we left for our hike. All profits go towards supporting an amazing school of 350 kids (mostly orphans). We were able to tour the school during our visit.

What a great stay! The staff were so accommodating and pleasant. The rooms are extremely clean. It was the perfect bookend to our Mt. Kilimanjaro climb. The staff were so supportive. After the climb we had our laundry cleaned extremely quickly so we didn’t miss our safari.

Our group stayed here before and after our trek to Kilimanjaro. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, food is great, but it's the staff that makes this place special. It's like staying with family that like it when you visit! Loved every minute.

Staff have been so kind and have really looked after me. I missed my Kilimanjaro trek unfortunately due to illness on the day of departure. Hotel is basic but very clean and good food. I’d stay again. It is a 15 minute drive from Moshi but hotel can arrange transport if required.

Everyone here made us feel so welcome and safe. The food was top-notch. They help set up excursions. Able to even buy souvenirs and local artwork. I highly recommend this place. Thank you, Teddy and Innocent. The profit even goes to support the school next-door. The children are beautiful.

Stayed here on each end of our 10 day Lemosho route summit of Kilimanjaro. Rooms were clean and the staff were great. Onsite restaurant was good with a broad menu of offerings. On return from our trek the staff quickly cleaned our laundry and shoes to enable us to continue on to our safari.
