Hadlow Manor

BE VERY VERY CAREFUL BOOKING ANYTHING AT HADLOW MANOR. WITH LESS THAN 3 MONTHS UNTIL MY SON’S WEDDING, THEY HAVE TODAY CANCELLED THE WHOLE THING DUE TO FINANCIAL VIABILITY AND THEY ARE CLOSING AND TURNING IT INTO FLATS!

Lucky this ‘business is going out of business ‘ how can you sleep at night knowing you have shattered the dreams of a young couple planing/saving /working so hard to make their day special. To ring them 12 weeks before their day to say the wedding is off. Shock/disbelief/upset doesn’t even cover it . Shame on you, Your behaviour is reprehensible

We came for the ******, mystery night and had a wonderful time. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, nothing was too much and always done with a smile. The rooms are a little tired but perfectly adequate. All the food we had was excellent and the whole stay was certainly value for money. Our experience bears no resemblance to a couple of reviews I’ve seen. I would definitely recommend trying one of their special experience nights.

The building is charming. Room wascomfortable and quiet. There was a wedding at the hotel on the day of our arrival. Arriving for breakfast next morning, we were told that as we weren't part of the wedding party they didn't quite know what to do with us!(a couple) We were offered to sit on a table of 10 amongst the wedding guests, lots of them, in a small crowded room.We declined and asked for a table for 2. There wasn't one. We were told we could sit in the bar! Eventually we were offered a garden table and chairs on a patio. This all took around half an hour. At this point we very nearly left. The wedding guests had virtually cleared the buffet. We had to ask for some fruit and there was no coffee. The restaurant manager tried her best.The staff admitted they didn't know that there were any other guests staying! At check out I mentioned our disappointment and the issues. The response was both unprofessional and unacceptable. No one appeared to have a clue about how to deal with a complaint. After emailing management we have been offered a small 'discount' Very poor customer service and general lack of understanding of guest expectations. We stay in hotels all over the UK. This experience was one of the most disappointing.

Lovely staff in an average hotel. Nice grounds and lots of parking area. We had a room with two single beds that we pushed together. The room was an average size as was the bathroom. All looked a bit sparse, somehow. I had to ask for a bedside table, as there was only one, and for a soft pillow if the had one. They don’t have father pillows and for me, most of the pillows felt like bricks. We were on the ground floor. It was very quiet but I felt I had to booby trap the window if wwe wanted to leave it a bit open at night. There was no mechanism for locking it.

We attended the Xmas Buffet evening last Saturday. Food was very limited and was a very strange combination of food for a buffet. Definitely not worth the £35 per per person. Disco was ok, the woman behind the "decks" was miserable, she didn't smile all night. The car park hadn't been gritted and it made it very tricky for people to walk safely and particularly for cars to get out of the car park. We have been to Hadlow Manor several times and really enjoyed the food and entertainment but we will not be visiting again.
