Hotel Tansen Residency

Me and my husband on our way back from MP trip decided to stop at Gwaliar and chose MPT Tansen Regency for our stay of 2 days. This turned out to be an amazing experience. Not only is this place well maintained and definitely justfies the cost, the staff, food, room and restaurant service is no less than any 4* property. We were nicely welcomed by Mr. Prateek Singh at the reception who was a thorough gentleman and guided us very well about the city. The dinner was excellent and the live Ghazal program by Mr. Rajendra Pareekh was a real pleasure that really made our evening. We finally met the regional Manager Mr. Nitin Katare who himself came to us asking about our stay and turned out to be very welcoming and a person full of knowledge. This place is 100% goto place. Glad to see that MP Government is taking great initiatives to improve tourism.

We were on road trip with family. Decided to stay first time in any MPT property. Little worried about government hotels initially. But this MPT property surprised us . Nice rooms, staff very attentive, food tasty. Specifically Manager mr kataria , front desk Ms Kamini , and other staff all were very attentive. Also we are impressed by live musical performance at dinner time. 2 nights stay full board With kids ( kids loved this place )

This is a very nice hotel aimed, it seems, at the middle class Indian market and I recommend it heartily. Although not posh, it has all the requisites - spacious, well designed rooms with wifi, A/C, plenty of hot water, kettle, etc. The breakfast buffet is delicious, and the restaurant fine in the evenings, with welcome live music both nights I was there. The staff are helpful. I wanted to change money, but they do not have this facility, so Prateek rang around and found a forex exchange bureau a short autorickshaw ride away. There's no USB port or socket for UK plugs in the rooms so an adaptor is needed to charge your devices. The other thing to be aware of is that (perhaps because it is run by the government tourist agency?) the booking is directed to an online firm "MakeMyTrip" and one is required to pay upfront, with cancellations being accepted only until four weeks before arrival. (This was NP for me.)

I had my wedding setup at the hotel and I must tell you the food, the coordination for all the events and the helping attitude of the whole staff was top notch. They had been with us throughout the process and made sure the event days were smooth and worth remembering. Mr. Katare, Mr. Sanjay and Mr. Ravi were professional throughout and the staff was very well directed. The rooms were comfortable and the guests were all happy and full of praises.

Welcome was polite and check- in smooth. Great gesture in giving us a room to freshen-up. Room 107 geyser was not working. Should be repaired immediately. Major inconvenience. Pillows, should provide one slim, one bulky. Courtesy helpfulness excellent. Food was chilli hot but tasty. Dinner time Mehfil was excellent. Breakfast , should offer marmalade jam also. A pleasant stay, Service staff very polite and courteous.
