Rains inn, guwahati is located in paltan bazar at the hub of life. Suits beautifully to both tourists & business travellers. Ww stayed in executive rooms in oct-24 which are medium sized & had fresh paint. There are enough charging points thoughtfully installed to recharge all electronic devices. The upholstery is clean & well maintained. The washroom is comparatively bigger, has geyser installed & has a premier brand like jaguar fittings. The only drawback was no presence of tap in the shower (ceiling) area. The lift is supervised properly. Loved the cane decor in the ground floor restaurant. The biggest area of improvement is timeliness of room service (we ordered breakfast - 2 chk s/w & 2 bread omlette, at 9:02 am & got it after multiple follow-ups at 10:25 am) & staff training (while serving lime soda one of the waiters spilled it on the tee-shirt of a guest! & didn't even offer to get it dry cleaned in-house! the owners have invested but daily operations mgmt needs to improve. Overall rating : 3/5

Hospitality and services are really good. Food is good. Location is really great and very close to paltan bazar.

The hotel was goodbye the executive room kept for mm t was not upto the mark. The ac was hopeless during our stay. In-spite of several request at the reception it was not rectified. Room no. 404

Overall good stay, need some more variety in breakfast. Location is good very well connected to public transportation. Area is very congested.

The bathroom was too slippery and no amenities as described on mmt whereas the food was too good.

Hotel room having no work rable, dining table does not have charging point to use as work station. Bathroom having no tap for buckets, tap was there but it's lower side and connected with bathroom jetspray.

A very basic hotel with basic amenities. The room was spacious. The air-conditioning was 12 year old and not performing well. The toiletries provided is very basic. Rooms are very much clean. The in-house restaurant is very much basic and little expensive compared to other options available outside. The breakfast served is very basic and not replenish at time. Options are very much limited. Also the staff need a hospitality refreser course. Good part is they have a generator for frequent power cuts.
