Small but clean and comfortable hostel in excellent position. The owner is friendly and helpful and can provide the ticket for the cruise to Yangshui for the half of the price that I paied online.

Cosy little room, on 4th floor (note no lift) of a different building from the hostel - good location to experience the local sights including Sunday morning dancing by the river. Only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom which was so small that I had to be careful not to fall into or drop anything into the squat toilet when taking a shower…

Mister Hwang was such a kind and accommodating host. He helped me get set up with a very last-minute boat tour on the Li River and went out of his way to help me find a solution when my payment apps stopped working. He deserves all the good karma for the help me gave me, but besides that the hostel is also lovely. It is what you should expect for the value but the facilities are clean, the environment is friendly, and the location is excellent. Highly recommend!

Perfect location (20 meters from the walking street, and yet very quiet). Very clean ! Nice vibes.

Highlight of my trip in China so far. Hostel was the best social vibe with a great host that really knows the city. He also has planned tours that (I think) he leads so if you come with no plans you’ll be taken care of. I only stayed one night and also loved the location (but also had a tough time finding it - asked the ladies around the corner and they helped). I’ll add it’s true no towels were provided for me so I had brought my own, and the bunk does not have a “fluffy” mattress yet I somehow slept perfectly well (but I’ve been in China for a while so maybe used to that type of bed already).

Nice hostel in great location. Tidy and possible to wash your clothes. Apparently in China it is not so common to socialize in common areas, but it is culture.

The room itself is as expected, it's clean and the bed is fine. You can wash your clothes and hang them behind the window. They are two washrooms available, shared among the three rooms on this floor. What was amazing was the hospitality and help of the host. They are some maps and indications in the common room. One day, some of the people wanted to go to a river and the boss drove us there with some friends and his family. Was an amazing day and had a lot of fun playing with locals

Just stayed one night. You get what you should expect for the price. I wouldn't say it is the most pleasant stay ever but everything is kept clean which I found a big and important plus that made the stay overall good quality for the price I'd recommend it for shorter stays if you don't mind old linen and such.

The place to stay in Guilin as a backpacker. An amazing place to stay overall. Due to my flight being delayed I came a day later than booked, and the host let me stay the full three days I booked anyway. The other guests that stayed at the hostel were equally nice; they took me sightseeing one day, to dinner, and were willing to communicate with me even though we didn't have a language in common.

Great little hostel, clean, cosy and social. In the perfect location right next to Guilin Central Square. It was a little difficult to find/ get in to the apartment! Just go up the steps to the second floor (see photos) and message the WeChat number on the door. If you don’t have wechat, there is also a bell you can ring. You can just ask at the nearby restaurant if you can’t find the steps. The owner also helped me book a great trip to the Li river which I highly recommend.

Amazing room in the hearth of Guilin, position perfect quite but really 50m from main road. Helpful staff. High recommended!!!

Steps away from a lively pedestrian only food street, plus walkable to many other city highlights. It was easy to take the bus from the northern train station to the city center, and then walk to the building. The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. You access the apartment with a key code. It would help if the owner/manager provided photos of the building so it's easier to find. For foreigners, keep in mind the bathroom is a squat toilet but everything else is superb. One of my photos shows the white building which is where the apartment is located on the 2nd/3rd floor depending on your booking.

Decent stay, only problem was checking in. No one there, had to call but they don’t realize many international traveler don’t have access to a phone.

One of the most beautiful, clean and comfortable hostels in that price range. I also doubt that some more expensive sccomodations may have such nice interiors. A lot of beautiful and interesting things inside. Really usefull map of Guilin attractions. Clean bathroom, free shower gel and paper tissue. Located right in the center of the city. Railway station near, elephant hill near (but old man mountain is better, imho, also near). Buses near, boats near. I stayed in dosens of places in china. And this one is one of the best. *Beds are a little bit hard. This is fine for me.
