Allegro Isora

Vi er netop vendt tilbage fra et 2 ugers ophold på "4-stjernet" Allegro Isora og er virkelig skuffede over vores ophold. Vi er en familie på 4; 2 voksne, 2 børn på 7 og 5 år, hvoraf det ene har yderligere behov, som hotellet blev gjort opmærksom på forud for vores ophold. (SEN-forældre – alt, hvad jeg kan sige, er at undgå dette hotel!) Vi er regelmæssige rejsende, der altid stopper på 4-stjernede hoteller og efter at have læst nogle af anmeldelserne og set de dejlige billeder på Jet2-webstedet, besluttede vi at give Allegro Isora et forsøg. Fordele – der er ikke mange, men her går det: - Underholdningsteamet er strålende – de arrangerer en række aktiviteter i løbet af ugen, herunder poolskumfester, oppustelige rutsjebaner, børnespil, vandpolo osv. De er de hårdest arbejdende mennesker på hotellet og stort set de eneste venlige medarbejdere. - Der er 3 pools af anstændig størrelse, hvoraf den ene har en vandrutsjebane og er let opvarmet, hvilket gør den fantastisk til børnene. - 'Toni' (kvindelig kok med briller, der arbejder i snackbaren) er dejlig. Hun bør have en forfremmelse og bruges som eksempel til at vise alle de andre medarbejdere på Allegro Isora, hvad god kundeservice er. - Værelserne har en god størrelse, og sengene er komfortable. Ulemper - bliv godt tilpas, der er masser. Hotelværelser: - Overalt er det beskidt. Jeg mener fuldstændig ulækkert beskidt. Hotelværelser, fællesområder, restauranter, snackbarer, legeområder – overalt er forfærdeligt. Jeg har inkluderet et billede af min søns fødder fra at gå rundt på hotelværelset i en time barfodet - efter at værelset var blevet 'rengjort'. Ironisk nok flyttede min søn sengen en smule, og der er et teltkort nedenunder, hvor der står "Ja, vi gør også rent her under!" - og alligevel var den dækket af støv og hår, så det gør de tydeligvis ikke! - Vi ankom sent, og vores værelse A1106 havde en kæmpe fugt- og skimmelplaster på væggen (se billeder). Gipsen var ved at falde af væggen og loftet og dækkede det omkringliggende område - lige hvor sengene var. - Vi opgraderede til dette værelse, da det havde en 'havudsigt'. Havet var næsten synligt mellem bygningerne, men absolut ikke værd at betale for opgraderingen. - Vores værelse havde knuste vinduer – som i knust glas i barnehøjde (se billeder). Vi havde et vindue, der ikke ville lukke, hvilket betyder, at vi konstant havde kakerlakker, edderkopper og fluer på værelset, og om natten kunne du høre kakerlakkerne. Vi havde også et vindue på badeværelset, der ikke ville åbne. - Badeværelset stank af gammel urin. Du kunne lugte det fra det øjeblik, du gik ind i lokalet. Det havde også skimmelsvamp langs bunden af ​​bruseren og en beskidt brusebakke (se billeder). - Jeg tror aldrig, at lokalet er blevet vasket, heller ikke mellem gæster. Værelset var beskidt fra det øjeblik, vi kom ind, balkonen havde hår og cigaretaske på gulvet, da vi ankom, og det var der stadig, da vi gik, så balkonen var aldrig blevet fejet. This is a very honest review from a family that have stayed in 3 different 4* hotels in the last 12 months, so van compare from our recent experiences. We arrived at around midnight to an unclean room, the All Inclusive Plus amenities that we had paid for in the room weren't there (robes/ slippers/ pool towels/ tea & coffee facilities/ toiletries) and air conditioning that didn't work. We were exhausted, spoke to reception and managed to change room with working air con. But had to make our children's beds as there was no house keeping available, which was fine as it was late. Not the best start to the holiday. The hotel is marketed at 4*, but there needs to be a lot of improvement to make it that, I would say that some parts are 4*, some 3* and some even 2*. 4* = staff work incredibly hard, but there is just not enough of them to keep up with this hotel. The pools and childrens entertainment is great (day and night time) the kids were very happy. 3* = food was OK, we all found something to eat. The bbq was OK. But it was repetitive and offered little vegetable choices. Although broccoli was randomly served at breakfast and not dinner time. We found the menu in the pool bar was good for a lunch choice and wish we had discovered this sooner as this was part of the All Inclusive plus package. The staff pour drinks incredibly strong, which is just a watch out (or not maybe for others). 2* = cleaning (rooms, public toilets, pool areas) and maintenance. House keeping don't actually 'clean' your room. They change the sheets/ towels (and replace some of them...) and dry the sink with an old towel and dry sweep the floor. They were in the room for 3mins if that. They must have hard water, everything is severely water/calk (including bathroom and kitchen glasses) stained and smells unclean in the room bathroom. It was very disappointing. We didn't receive any shampoo until day 5 and even then the shampoo didn't have a pump dispenser. We called maintenance as our sink kept blocking up. They sent someone but it still persisted. 2* = Poolside toilets at the beginning of the day are clean, but that's it, no one ever goes back into clean them, meaning that they gradually worsen and are horrible/unusable from lunchtime onwards. They need cleaning more regularly every 30mins or so. This is the same for the toilets near the playground. I visited them this morning and was shocked at the state they were in. I know guests are the culprits, but the hotel needs to know that it's unacceptable and more staff are needed. 2* = Poolside maintenance is poor, there is probably 1 parasol per 4 loungers, which isn't enough and what there is I would say about 25% are broken or missing a pole, so are too short. We have been here a week and never seen anyone cleaning the poolsides. There are soakaway drains on the children's pool area that have been blocked with hair/ straws/ rubbish for over a week. This then means that there are terrible drain smells everywhere. 2

We had a wonderful time at the Allegro Isora, I would absolutely recommend it for a family break. Here is what we thought… We had an afternoon flight from the UK and landed in Tenerife at 2100, our transfer took well over an hour so it is definitely worth considering a private taxi transfer. Although we arrived at the hotel at just after 2230 the welcome on Reception was warm and we were offered a cold buffet in the restaurant, however we were so tired from the flight and transfer we headed straight to our room to sleep. We were in the Dream block and conveniently on the ground floor but each block does have a couple of lifts so don’t worry if you are higher up. The top floor offers some lovely sea views or if on the other side the mountains leading up to Mount Teide. The room was spacious even with the sofa bed pulled out for our youngest child to sleep on. Rooms were well cleaned daily, and towels changed too. The bedroom had two single beds and a ceiling fan which only works when the light is on so the room did get very warm overnight with it being August. We paid the €3 per day charge to hire the room safe for peace of mind for passports etc, a reasonable cost in my opinion. The apartment has a small kitchen with microwave and a fridge with freezer section at the top which was very welcome for aftersun and aloe as well as snacks for the kids and icy cans of Irn Bru for me from the handily placed HiperDino supermarket just next door. The bathroom was also cleaned regularly and had a decent shower. The layout of the hotel is really good, blocks of rooms around the perimeter with three pools within, the first and top level is a quieter pool beside the gym for adults to enjoy a more peaceful holiday. The next level down is the busiest, the main pool and the snack bar are here and this is the pool most activities take place in such as the water polo, foam party, water mat run and one day a wonderful inflatable dinosaur which was very popular! The lowest level is the smaller kids pool with the also popular water slide, this was manned all day by a lifeguard for safety and the kids club is beside this pool too. The park and football pitch are just outside the main accommodation beside the evening entertainment area so kids can play while parents watch the show. The mini disco starts at 2115 which is late for smaller kids then the main show at 2200 for an hour. Our room was very near this and we really appreciated that at 2300 everything quietened down quickly. There is a banana grove beside this area with a demented cockerel who woke up and blared away at random times throughout the day which we actually got used to after a sleepless first night! Many other reviews mention a shortage of sunbeds, we got up at 0700 each day and got the ones we wanted so we could keep an eye on our little ones in the pool as they aren’t strong swimmers, most people seemed to find a spot and it was mostly amicable until out last few days when a large S

Currently here till tomorrow. My partner slipped in the public toilets near the pool after 4 days of being here.. transferred to hospital recieving 6 stitches to his head.. NO WET FLOOR SIGNS!!! Not even had a visit from hotel manager which is disgusting… some of hotel staff were brilliant..but spoilt the holiday….

The four stars this resort has is very justified! As an individual with Autism, I often feel let down by multiple factors when visiting places. However this was not the case with this resort. Food I am an extremely picky eater, however there was always loads of options for food. The basics such as chips, pizza and breads are available every lunch/dinner. In addition to this, there is a wide variety of meats and deserts also. Some foods are cooked in front of you and there is always someone refilling when empty. I don’t think I waited more than a minute for anything to be refilled. Always staff cleaning the food areas and stocking up plates etc. We did however find if we went towards the middle/end of the meal slots, the tables would be without glasses, cutlery, napkins etc. However, that’s to be expected. Room The room we had was lovely, however this is where I withhold the last star. The room itself was mostly clean. However there were stains on the sofa bed, curtains and walls etc. The shower had a build up of grime also. The cleaning staff were in each day and changed the bedding and stocked up the towels we had used. Everything in the room worked. It came with a microwave, fridge, safe and TV. In all, these marks etc in the room made no difference to the stay, and it didn’t have an effect on love for the room. The room also came with a large bottle of water. Staff/entertainment We didn’t have a single encounter with a rude/unhappy member of staff. Everyone we came across from the domestic staff to the bartenders were always lovely. There is aqua Zumba each day, water games and a mini disco in a separate entertainment block. All announcements are made in multiple languages. We didn’t make use of the nighttime entertainment so I can’t comment but there was also a comedy night while we were there. There is a variety of things for children to do as well as adults, which is hard to come by. Usually it’s too much for one and not the other but it really worked. There was also cheese tasting and other activities such as this during the day. Area We didn’t venture far around the hotel as we are not the scenery/attractions type. We very much enjoy the pool on our holidays. However, there is a small shop less than 30 seconds outside the resort which had all essentials/snacks etc. There was also a touristy shop right next door which had lots of little trinkets. The beach is also very accessible. There is a bus that comes past the resort at 9:05 everyday that goes to and from Siam park for €11pp. Which we found amazing as public transport was cheaper but more stressful and a taxi was quicker but quadruple the price one way. We didn’t book and risked there not being space, so I advise to book the shuttle beforehand. We had spoke to a woman in a travel shop on the other side of the tourist shop. The resort has a snack bar open during the day which offers drinks, chips, burgers, hotdogs and ice cream. We stayed all inclusive and found this resort

My husband and I took our 9.5month old baby here last month and we had the best time. We stayed for 10 nights and couldn’t fault anything. The staff are so friendly and brilliant with children, food was great, entertainment, pools, rooms literally everything. We had a sea view room which was so worth the small extra cost it was absolutely beautiful. We never normally like to return to the same place as we feel we have been there done that kind of thing but we said we would 100% go back to allegro! Definitely would recommend! Ignore the bad reviews!! Thanks so much to everyone for making our stay :)

Great hotel worth for the Value with amazing Staff! It’s our third time in Allegro Isora and definitely no disappointment at all! The rooms are clean and spacious enough. The restaurants serve good choice and nice variety of food, tasty, fresh, mostly local. Pools are nice and all well kept ! Really lovely. And the view to the ocean and the island of La Gomera :) And the staff ! They are amazing! Here I need to mention 2 names: Gerardo - doesn’t matter if he runs the bar or just serves you in the restaurant, he always comes with a smile and very friendly approach. Rosi - the jewel of the restaurant. That lady has a style. A smile wide like the sky, always has some nice words to all of us. Amazing!

We've just come back from spending 7 days in one of their Barcy family rooms with our 2yr old and 5m old. It was the most perfect family break away and I would definitely recommend to anyone. The entertainment and staff were brilliant and we found everyone kind and bubbly. The variety of food was astonishing! Being a vegetarian, I never expect much from an all inclusive and usually end up eating salad & chips all week but this was the complete opposite. There was so much variety of food and our 2yr old ate like a king! If you like having dessert then you won't be short of choice. The pools were great, a little chilly at first but perfect to get out of the sun and even our 5m old enjoyed a swim. The cocktails were really lovely and it was nice to see them being made by the bartenders rather than from a machine. The only thing we struggled with a bit was the timings of everything. The dinner sitting doesn't start until 7pm and the entertainment runs very loudly behind the family rooms until 11pm so it's difficult for little ones to not stay up very late. Regardless it was a brilliant all round hotel and we all had an amazing time

I recently stayed at a Barcelo hotel with my family for our wedding nearby, and my experience was quite mixed. On the positive side, the email communication with the hotel prior to our stay was exceptional. They were very helpful and responsive, which made planning for our large group much easier. David at the reception was a standout—he handled our booking and unique requests with ease and professionalism. His support made a significant difference in our experience. However, my experience took a turn when dealing with another receptionist, Sergio. His demeanour was rude, and when there was a misunderstanding, he made an inappropriate comment, suggesting I would "calm down when you spend the night in jail." This was not only unprofessional but also incredibly upsetting, especially during such a joyful time for our family. I submitted an official complaint about Sergio, but unfortunately, the follow-up was lacking. He continued to give me attitude the next day, and despite my request for an update on my complaint, I never received any acknowledgment or apology. This experience overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay, and it's disappointing that a hotel of this caliber would not prioritize customer comfort and satisfaction. I doubt I will choose to stay at any Barcelo hotel again, especially if they don’t take customer concerns seriously.
