Chimelong Xiangjiang hotel is not directly inside the Chimelong park complex and you need to take shuttle buses every day to access the park. They ran approximately hourly and if you miss them; you will need to organise a taxi separately.  It is a good hotel for kids, especially if you want something a bit smaller and not so overwhelming for the kids. There was a small kids area, a mini driving course and some claw machines (paid for separately). The chinese restaurant connected to the hotel had delicious food, but once again, don’t expect too much service! The staff were friendly, but perhaps understaffed and undertrained. We didn’t try the buffet dinner, as we needed to attend the circus the first night which we couldn’t recommend enough! A spectacular show indeed!  We had a great time, but we struggled a little as foreigners to check-in using passports and get an introduction to how everything works. Highly recommend travelling with a local or someone who speaks fluent mandarin to make it a less stressful experience.  But the safari experience and circus show was well worth it! The kids had an amazing time!

During this trip to Chimelong, I was fortunate enough to stay at your hotel with my friends. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I especially want to give special praise to the front desk staff, Guo Ziming, for his excellent service! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, his professionalism and enthusiasm made me feel extremely warm. He noticed that it was my first time staying here and took the initiative to introduce the hotel's facilities and services in detail, including breakfast times, the location of the gym and the surrounding transportation guide. No matter how big or small the details were, it enabled me to quickly get familiar with the environment. What surprised me even more was that he kindly upgraded my room for free, saying that he hoped I could have a more comfortable stay. Such details are truly touching! When checking in, his process was efficient and smooth, and he was proficient in his business. He completed all the procedures in just a few minutes and patiently answered my questions about traveling in Guangzhou. His smile is sincere. From his words, one can sense his love for work and his emphasis on guests. It was precisely because of his service that my trip in Guangzhou added a lot of joy and peace of mind. It is truly rare that your hotel can cultivate such outstanding employees. His performance not only reflects his personal qualities, but also highlights the hotel's high-standard service concept. If I come to Guangzhou again in the future, I will definitely choose this place once more and highly recommend it to my friends! Thank you again to him and his team for their efforts. Good room service and friendly staff. Facilities are clean and tidy. Nice Chinese food for guests.

The place to go with kids. We stayed there because it was walking distance to Chimelong Safari Park and we were there to see pandas primarily. Great value for money with the inclusive unlimited 4 parks entrance tickets, though we only used the tickets twice for the safari park. Breakfast is very local and passable. The hotel should consider adding extra shuttle buses as the bus was jam packed and not every everyone could get in and had to wait an hour for the next bus. And this is during non peak season on a weekday.

Great trip and comfortable stay at Chimelong. Staff went beyond means to help us with our stay!

All very good,  exceed my expectations.  Highly recommend.  Good value for money.  Near to zoo.

The Hotel location is great, right next to the zoo, and walking distance to the mall, but the hotel room it is slightly dated, service staff was over all great, only a few may be having an tough day with strong emotion, but given the location and the reachable distance of delivery will for sure visit again

Hotel was ok. We went during peak time so it was really busy. There’s room for improvement. There’s a free coach for guests to get on to go to the circus and safari but they aren’t frequent. First bus of the day to go to the safari in the morning is 9:30. The safari opens at 9:00. If you miss the coach or you are unable to get on, then the next bus is 10:30. Bear in mind it may be busy in the morning once you get to the safari since the busses for the other hotels to go to the safari leave at the same time. If you don’t want to wait, you can get a Didi/Taxi but since the hotel is near a motorway, cars will have to go around a big circle to get to the destination. There is only one coach to go to the circus and that is at 6:30pm for the show at 7:30pm. Again if you miss it or unable to get on, you will have to take a taxi. The kids loved the driving school at the hotel, you have to pay an additional fee on top. We had a lovely member of staff called Sam/ 赵世財。 He was so professional and attentive to the kids and genuinely felt like he cared for them. We appreciated his extra care.
