Waxiaowu Homestay (Beijing Road)

Wasn’t quite as pleasant on the first day of check in, communication is through WeChat and I could not even contact the host for a good 1 hour sitting at the lobby. Deposit holding has to be paid via ALIPAY OR WECHAT PAY, as foreigner this is really difficult! Registration (digitally, took about 45mins) and information could have been given way earlier and not leave me stranded with a 2 year old kid and myself heavily pregnant at the lobby for a total of 2 hours. No refund would be provided if you cannot pay via either method. (PLEASE NOTE) Location was the only thing that is perfect! Very near and workable distance to the mall! The house is pretty dusty and not properly maintained. Kitchenware are all not really in good order, there are also stains on bedsheet. If you are particular about cleanliness will not recommend for sure. But location and is a thumbs up!

Host was very friendly and nice. Made sure we completed all necessary documentation prior to checking in. Very prompt with responses and tips for travel. Many packaged one-time use towels are provided which is very hygienic. Please bring your towel if you prefer. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here especially with the location very conveniently nearby malls and railway stations.

Great location 2 min walk from Beijing Lu metro station. Check in process was not very easy for a non-chinese speaker, but the security guy did everything to help us solve the issue, big thanks for this. Overall the checkin process took app 20-25 minutes. We had to pay a deposit, that was immediately returned after check out. The apartment is ok, still some aspects to be solved in terms of hygiene and furniture that looks pretty used - especially the table in the dining room and the kitchen utensils. What was really funny is the carpet in the dining room being covered by a plastic protection :)) dear owners, i recommend to stop using that kitschy plastic protection, or if the carpet is so important for you you should take it off there. The apartament is nice, but this thing looks very un appropriate for it. Bed sofa a little bit to hard for my taste. Overall, above average aps in guangzhou.
