Very nice hotel in the small town, facilities are beautiful and breakfast is very good. Great location to go on a night walk to watch the northern lights.

這晚酒店純屬冤大頭能想象到我每晚必洗頭髮洗澡的人衹做了簡單清潔。在冰島的其他酒店雖然價格高，但是基本符合要求或者超過期望，如果不是阿克雷裏開到斯奈山半島作為中轉，一定不要住！這個小鎮就是村裡的感覺。完全可以住在斯蒂基斯。開車半小時來看草帽山去海豹沙灘。衞生很差，沒有前台沒人打掃，酒店一股子腐朽的味道。房間裏的之前壞了的電視竟然放在床旁邊。沒有拿出去。好像把酒店當自己家了。隨意擺放自己的雜物。太生氣了這價格可以住麗思了。怎麼會代理

從來沒住過這樣的垃圾酒店！店方明知熱水系統壞了卻不告知我們，導致我們晚上在接近零度氣温下沒熱水洗澡；床套發臭！是前幾任房客用過根本沒更換；沒電梯需要搬運行李到2-3樓，想前台印度人幫你抬，他就還站在那裡索要小費；酒店是印度人開的印度人在前台，不但晚上前台根本沒人，而且各種衞生條件差到離譜！

There isn’t much choice of accommodation in Grundarfjörður, and this is probably reflected in the price of the hotel, rather than the facilities offered. It’s perfectly clean and ok to spend a night but for the price you would at least expect someone on reception. The breakfast was lacking somewhat -bread in the plastic wrapper ( nothing to pick the bread up with apart from all the guests’ fingers), and when I asked for water the young girl directed me to a sink. Our room ( described as “superior”) was actually a triple - it was tiny and the ceiling so low and slanted I nearly knocked myself out! I’d hate to think how three people would manage in the room. There is a kettle and some coffee but no milk. The sliding bathroom door was so difficult and noisy to open and close. The location is excellent however, right on the harbour and near an excellent restaurant. We saw an amazing northern lights display so we left feeling well disposed towards the place but if you plan to stay here you should manage your expectations.

The room was perfectly fine. The hotel was clean except for maybe a little orange mold at the bottom of the shower. We had everything we needed. I didn't realize it was a hotel with no real service. There was no one there at the desk you got your key. There were two people in the morning setting up the buffet breakfast but mostly they head in the back. There's not much around so I guess this would be a good place to stay but we paid almost $400 a night and I thought that was excessive. Once my expectations were managed, is a perfectly fine place. I thought there was dinner but there was no one around so we just walked down the street to harbour Cafe which was perfectly delicious. I did not know how isolated the peninsula was we almost ran out of gas! Do not try to get there on a half tank.!!

I stayed in the hotel on 4 August. Room 101. While I understand your hotel is only basic and yes it is clean & functional. However, a few things they could improve: 1. There is tea bags & coffee BUT no milk or coffee whitener and no spoon or stick for stirring sugar. Only small things but don’t cost much . 2. NO SOAP - there was no soap in the squeeze container on the wall on the shower - so I got out and went to the wash basin and got just 2 drops out before it became empty. Not happy about that. These things are easy to fix & not expensive. Yes it’s not a fancy hotel but looking after the basics might change my rating from 2 star to 3 star . This visit - I can only give it a 2 star rating & disappointed with my room.

A little place by the inner harbor, a few minutes drive to the mountain and waterfall. Small but clean and comfy rooms. Breakfast area was nice, modern, and clean with the typical European breakfast options. Only negatives were: *They were the only hotel in Iceland (out of 5) that did not email us prior to arrival to confirm our reservations and provide other information. I even emailed them twice before we left the US to reconfirm and they never responded. *As another stated, there was no one at reception when we arrived around 8pm. Our keys were left at front desk, but no information on where to park. Out front had 4 or 5 spaces but all were taken. I tried calling the number left at the front desk but no one answered. I pulled around back of hotel and hoped for the best. Turns out that was OK. *No one at desk for check out, just left the keys in a bowl. It just felt odd not seeing anyone at the reception desk for either check in or out. If you need a clean, quiet place to stay in the area it gets the job done.
