The Table Guest House

The customer service was out standing. Helen and Morrie were so welcoming. The continental breakfast was delicious. The Tuscan style of the guesthouse was authentic and restful Short walk to restaurants ant Workers Club.

Such a beautiful place, and bless Helen and Murray for their welcoming approach. The guesthouse is spotless and well situated, not far from so many wineries.

Whilst visiting family on the Central Coast we decided to have some us time in the Hunter Valley and stayed at the Table Guest House. What a gem of a find! Our host Jo, very ably supported by her hairy little helper Harvey, couldn’t have been more welcoming and prepared a fantastic meal that evening, and what a meal. Nothing was too much trouble. One of the highlights of our visit to Australia and superb value!

We cannot recommend The Table Guesthouse highly enough. Its like like little piece of Tuscany in the Hunter Valley. We stayed here with our miniature poodle after eloping in the Hunter and felt right at home. There is a beautiful courtyard that greets you upon entering, with exposed wood throughout the interior, a warm lounge area with a fire place that is so cosy you'll forget you're staying at accommodation .. it feel like you're staying with friends or an Aunty's place. I cannot speak highly enough of Jo. She is friendly, welcoming, kind and so helpful. Not to mention, the reviews of the excellent breakfast are on point. She also offers tours to pet friendly wineries so we could bring our little dog along. We truly left feeling like we'd made a new friend and were not ready to leave. Although, we'd love to keep this gem a secret 😉 we highly recommend stopping by. We only wish we had made a longer booking and we intend on coming back soon. I booked The Table as my guest house accommodation while attending a wedding in Polkobin (The Convent). I could not have been happier with my choice. Jo is an incredible host and chef and from the moment I arrived from Sydney later than planned to a smiling host, offer of a drink, a warm fire and 3 course meal. I knew I was in for a delightful weekend. The bed was so soft and cosy. The 3 course breakfast was incredible. Jo went out of her way to offer this busy mum the R&R she so very much needed, even dropping me at the wedding the following day, a good 25 minute drive away. Her adorable dog Harvey is an added bonus. This gem of a place feels like a warm hug. I will definitely be back - and am tempted to book out the whole place out (and Jo) with friends. Romantic, restful and cosy. Give this local business your business. You won't be disappointed. Tours, carriages, lunches and dinners were available on request with as much or as little conversation as you would like. Jo seems to know exactly what her guests need.
