I've stayed at this hotel with my colleagues in early October 2023. Due to unforeseen work related circumstances, my team and I had to check out early. When I had politely asked the front desk (Shirley) if they can accommodate a one time waiver of early check out fee, she basically gave me an attitude and said "I can't help you and you need to speak to Brianna (Hotel Manager)." Brianna was not present at the time and I've asked to speak to another manager but there wasn't one present. I continued to asked Shirley, if Brianna is not here, how do I reach out her? Shirley ignored me and went to assist other guests. After waiting 10minutes, she came back and finally gave me Brianna's email. Shirley could've easily gave me the email but instead made me wait 10minutes for her while she assisted other guests. Later, I've emailed Brianna asking her to her for a one time waiver. She had declined my request and said it was Marriott's policy. I've later contacted Marriott Corporate and they confirmed that due to unforeseen circumstances that the individual hotel will be able to make this accommodation by waiving such fees. Then, I had called Greensboro to speak to Shirley and Brianna again and was told "Sorry this is Marriott's policy". I repeated myself and stated that I've just spoke to Marriott Corporate and they said you guys can waive this. After back and forth with Shirley, I've asked to speak to Brianna and was told she was unavailable to speak to me and to email her. Really? You're on the phone with me, at least tell me you are busy and take down my number to call me back so we can talk this through but instead just to email you? I had filed an official complaint with Marriott Corporate and will not ever again stay at a Marriott due to this experience.
