Holiday Lodge - Greensboro/Lake Oconee

I had high hopes with this place. There was a dead cockroach on the floor by the bed. I get this can happen, but shows lack of cleaning. The fridge was off, moldy, and smelled bad. The hotel wouldn’t even fix the baseboard in the hallway with a hole in it. I’m a Veteran and have stayed hard places but this is supposed to be a decent stay for $90 total a night. Loud tv next door from 1am to 5:30 am and finally went lower around 6 am but still on. Could hear Steve Harvey’s Family Feud questions and the actual answers in my room. The front desk said something to the next room about the loud tv but that’s super dicey as you never know how someone may react. Mentioned the lack of sleep to the front desk and they charged me $72 for the room and with all of the taxes it was $90 for a night. There are other choices close by. Fridge was moldy and wasn’t ever on. I drove in 9 hours and needed rest. Explained this to the front desk lady and she still wouldn’t lower my partial interrupted night charge. She said that person next to me is there for 3 more nights. I can’t recommend this place at all. Stay somewhere more updated. The room door wouldn’t even open without almost using hard force to open. We had the front desk staff member open the door initially as it appeared someone was inside with the security lock on. Hole in the hallway wall with baseboard laying down. I will post photos.
