La Mejorana

Lovely small inn in the Grazalemanational park in the Cadiz Sierra. The inn is comfortable and a great base for hiking in the area, which offers a wide range of walks and more challenging hikes, as well as touring the other villages such as Zahara, Arcos, etc (the host is very helpful about choosing ability appropriate hikes and suggesting day excursions). Grazalema is small, lovely town, and especially during the weekdays is uncrowded and not at all 'touristy.' A very nice break from the more crowded cities like Seville

I am still in the hotel while writing this review. We have come to celebrate our anniversary. The owner Andres is the best host, friendly, helpful and so knowledgable. His team ( Fran and the ladies who keep the place spotless) are the best we have ever encountered. You feel at home from the first moment you walk in. The house has amazing views and all the rooms are different. There is a beautiful terrace and a living area at the guests disposal. There is no bar but there is a fridge, so you can leave your drinks or food and plenty of cutlery to use. The bedroom views are insane, and the bed is sooo comfortable. Very good size bathroom and good sitting area. There is free WiFi also. It's worth to pay the little extra for breakfast, buffet style and you can enjoy it on the terrace. The swimming pool is fantastic, especially to cool down in on a very hot day. There is plenty of greenery so it makes you feel like you are in an oasis of calm. Just outside the house there is a typical Spanish restaurant called La Maroma, great food! And withing walking distance (3 minutes) you have plenty of bars, restaurants and several shops. In the B&B there are steps to access the pool, terrace and bedrooms (not a problem but something to consider). All in all our stay has been a 10 out of 10. We wish we would have come longer. If you are looking for a special place to stay with easy access to all attractions this is the place. We will be back!

This hotel has beautiful gardens and terraces. Our room was fairly spacious. The bathroom was absolutely modern and sleek. There were two large easy chairs but no lighting nearby, so not very useable. The breakfast buffet, which was in a small room, was decent if a bit limited, and seating on the terrace could be expanded. Location is excellent. Staff was not particularly present except on our arrival and at breakfast.
