Travelodge Grantham A1

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and both times it has been a good experience. The location was convenient, it was easy to book and check in. The staff were helpful.

Bed was comfortable. The room was not clean. There were beer bottle caps under the bed, headboard top was dusty, bathroom door had dirty brown splashes up it, bathroom tiles were grimy at the toilet wall and behind the door, the tiles that have been cleaned are grimy and streaky, bath taps are dirty all around the base, pull cord for the bathroom light was crispy, beige/brown and absolutely filthy and germ-ridden. I am not one of those people who go around running my fingers along surfaces to judge how well somewhere has been cleaned. In this case white gloves were not needed because the lack of cleanliness was obvious. This was a ground floor, twin room booked for myself and my adult son who has autism. I can’t quite figure it out … maybe this room was left for people with disabilities and not used as often as others? Or maybe it doesn’t need cleaned as often as the other rooms because people with disabilities don’t care? Maybe because it was the only available twin room for 20 miles they knew they could away with leaving it filthy? Who knows? I just know that I will not use Travelodge again nor will I recommend it.

Lovely staff and clean Room. Downside was people walking dogs outside the bedroom window .Food is available across the road Costa.Greggs.KFC. So all within easy access.

I would recommend this hotel, with clean, fresh and airy rooms and bathrooms with towels and showergels etc. Clean, soft, fresh bedding and tea and coffee facilities for added room comfort. Friendly, caring customer service. Tv in rooms and Plenty of storage. What's not to love about this hotel!

All good room basic but clean Car parking needs clarifying though as we were directed to the services car park while others just left their cars in front of the hotel we thought the front was just for unloading obviously not everyone is as considerate as us hotel staff need to be stricter with this

The room itself was very mediocre and the price was ridiculously expensive for what was on offer but we were tired and desperate. The only reason I have given it a score as high as 3 is because of the amazingly friendly and helpful welcome we got from Dani and the young man in training, on the front desk that evening. She was so helpful in every aspect and found us the best deal. An exemplary example of how to treat guests. But for the kindness of the staff, I don't think we would have stayed. Thank you!
