Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel

The hotel is sumptuous. With eco credentials, it is clean and so well maintained. Not a crack in sight (they are continuously making sure the hotel is looking impeccable), what stood out to us was the fantastic staff and the amenities. Yes, the location is quite rural so expect a 2 hour drive from the airport, but with that comes the ability to really enjoy the local culture, and tropical surroundings. Fantastic wildlife throughout, there’s an observation lodge where you can see the islands famous pawi, as well as hundreds of hummingbirds and butterflies. In addition to an idyllic location and spacious rooms with neutral interiors and extremely comfortable beds, comes the most AMAZING staff! Everyone is friendly and curteous, attentive to our needs and actually exceed them most of the time. We have adored everyone but had to do a special shout out to Alicia, Lisa, Camron, Simeon, Codesha and Candice. We have only just left and already miss them. We opted for the all inclusive option and what a good idea. the food was sumptuous. There’s a small buffet meaning not too much food wastage, but there’s also an a la carte menu should you not like anything on the buffet. Everything we had was absolutely delicious!!!! Simply put, we left less than 24 hours ago and already miss this magical place. As Richard says “you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend, return as family” and we will be sure to return.

Mt.Plaisir is the BEST hotel in Trinidad! The hospitality of the staff makes your experience truly unforgettable. The hotel is extremely clean and well-maintained. The food is 10/10. The rooms are cozy and well-equipped. Kayaking and the heated pool also made the stay really fun. The stay here is WORTH IT!!!

On arrival the staff were very polite and welcoming. We had asked for a beachfront room but had been told at booking that all beachfront rooms were booked. The staff were aware of our request and after two hours we were informed of a cancellation and we were assigned a beachfront room. They moved us immediately and very politely. Polite was the best way to explain the extremely well trained staff. The rooms were clean as were the beaches and overall environment. Service and security were excellent. Bonfire on the beach and serving us hot cocoa while we enjoyed such a beautiful starry night seemed like a dream come true. Fantastic experience. !!!

My husband and I spent our Valentine’s here and it was …. to sum things up AMAZING and worth every penny ❤️ The staff was kind, welcoming and very informative about the resort and it’s existence. Will definitely recommend Mt Plaisir to any and everyone.

A charming, beautifully upgraded hotel with very helpful, pleasant staff. This hotel has great access to viewing the leatherback turtles laying eggs and their nesting site and of course, delicious dining options. The beach is breathtaking. Will definitely return!

The drive to get there was really long, we came from Port of Spain and spent 2.5 hours driving. However, the location is serene and peaceful, which is what we were hoping for. Their customer service was excellent and the servers were very friendly and accommodating. The environment was clean and the food was delightful. Despite the long drive, we will definitely return for a longer stay.
