Four Points by Sheraton Grande Prairie

This is a newer hotel in G.P. which was great however, it’s sparse to a fault. The rooms are ginormous with hardly any furniture and small closets. The bathrooms are the WORST- there were no shelves in the showers, no shelve in the vanity, and NO hooks for towels. If you want minimalist design- you get it here. Minimal to a FAULT. When you have to store your toiletries on the shower floor and bend for everything it becomes painful & annoying. Draping your towel over the door or a chair is ridiculous! There’s tons of space- they cheaped out on details that could have made this hotel great. The pool area was nice and clean.

The front desk staff is awesome. Each of the staff I interacted with were gracious, friendly and very professional. The Hotel is always very clean, great gym for the size, rooms are awesome and blinds and shades make for a great sleep. The only downside is when the room doors slam shut. Hard to sleep after a night shift. The duvet, pillow options and mattresses are fantastic. This is my second extended stay with this Hotel. Over 45 days with them in Jan/Feb and May/June and I can honestly say they made my time feel as if I was at home with friends. You get to know the front desk staff after this many days. Grace’s has an engaging smile and warm heart that greeted me each day. Allan takes the time to listen to his guests which is evident in his high attention to detail. Simran and Janelle are kind, caring and always greet you with a smile or laugh. Jeylen is the night auditor and every morning after my night shift she and I would share a little banter about “how my day/night shift went” - she made me laugh every day and I had a hard time not smiling all the way to my room. Overall each of these staff members was top notch. Thanks to all of you for making me feel at home, while I am away working. Jim G

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms were clean. I am disgusted with the way they treat their customers though. My daughter's hockey team (girls aged 13 and 14) were staying there as the arena is literally across the street. From the moment we arrived, it was VERY clear that the hotel does not want or like hockey teams staying there. They literally waited in the hallway to "catch" our girls talking loud or "running" down the hallway. The girls were in bed and in their rooms by 9:30PM BOTH nights. Not a peep out of them after that time. They were told they are not allowed to walk around on the 4th floor of the hotel. I was staying there also and was never told that. I have stayed at MULTIPLE hotels over the years with hockey teams and we were never treated as poorly. It was TERRIBLE customer service and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are going there ALONE and can promise to sit in your room and not make a sound the entire time. If you have kids, DON'T stay here. I can't imagine what they do when the pool is working and there are tons of kids around. I wrote a complaint to the manager two days ago. It took her 48 hours to reply to say that she will look into it and get back to. CLEARLY shows their lack of customer service starts right at the very top!

A really good stay, this hotel is still quite new and the bright open clean design is really refreshing. Solid (very warm) pool with hot tub Bright open lobby with a nice “library” space you can hang out if you’re a group. Restaurant is well priced, good value and the breakfast staff were so warm and welcoming. Harvey’s in the parking lot and the “Eastlink” Center is across the street. Front desk went out of their way to find ways to improve my stay, great room too - I had a forest view!

So many issues booking, not informed the pool was closed, then over billed credit card by over 200$ amount invoiced. Booked by phone and bookings were made to the wrong names twice. Then not informed the pool was closed until after check in. Every time we asked when the pool would open they’d tell us a different story, it never opened throughout our stay. Then I get home and compare my printed invoices to my credit card statement and they over billed me by $232.00. Albeit incompetent desk staff were friendly also the beds are nice, that is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Booked this hotel late as we were coming back from a business trip. Reviews were good so we figured we’d book. This hotel is dirty. Hall ways are dirty. Room was dirty and Definitely not worth $150! Would recommend going elsewhere!

The Four Points has become our go-to Hotel when visiting Grande Prairie. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. It's a bit off the main drag... but that's just fine with us!
