Bohio Dive Resort

The Bohio is our favourite place to stay with great owners, great staff, great location, great diving. Everyone is really friendly and they all go the extra mile (or km for European readers 😊) to make the stay really enjoyable.

Bohio is on a long reef that ensures and colorful sea life for divers at all levels. The staff are welcoming and upbeat. The food is decent. The dives can be a bit of an effort, with crowded boats. And seasonal winds can require them to take you in a crowded taxi van on a 20 minute drive to the cruise ship port, where you board your dive boat among crowds of sunbathing onlookers. The snorkel and seasonal whale-watching excursions were quite good. The airport at Grand Turk is really congested, and not well-organized. The area surrounding Bohio was pretty sparse; a few historically significant places to visit, but not much. Bottom line, if diving is what you want, it's a good place.

We such had a wonderful week with amazing service and diving that we’ve booked again for this December 2022. The website now says the resort is closed for refurbishment. Tom and Ginny, would you please let us know if our deposit and reservation are good for our return trip this December? Sarah and Jason

I am following up on Brian L's review of July 2022. At least he received a letter from a lawyer after inquiring about the remaining balance in July. After all they had already closed their doors on July 1. I have yet not received anything from a lawyer or management ( Ginny and Tom). Also unlike Brian, I also don't have a PDF form to make a claim to the money I have lost. To make it worse they are back in business next year and haven't taken care of their old business to people like me before hand. After all we were to be there in 4 days, 8/7. They have a small resort with a small number of rooms and had to know this was coming, but couldn't have reached out to a few dozen people? How hard could that be? I will guarantee I could not trust them in the future. If they couldn't take care of old business before moving to newer money? I bet you I won't see any of the money collected from the recent liquidation sale a couple of weekends ago. My wife and I visited 10 years ago and can't claim to be friends like Brian L claims. But if they are/were friends and didn't give me some kinds of heads up or some kind of personal e-mail /text, I would be personally hurt. So because of my personal customer service experience, with no refund or apology in sight, buyer beware.

Stayed at Bohio as part of a dive trip. The property is beautiful. The staff is very accommodating. Always friendly and always willing to satisfy whatever whim their customers have. Special shout out to GiGi who was in charge at the front desk. Bartenders were awesome as was our Karaoke host. Even the donkeys, dogs, and cats were super friendly. The dive trips were very fun and the dive crew were knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommend Bohio!

Staying at Bohio is like visiting family! We always feel welcome and the staff is most hospitable. Much of the staff has remained the same over the years and this says so much about how well Bohio is managed! They offer entertainment on weekends but also have quiet nights that are much appreciated. The food is awesome and they offer a great variety. Some nights there is a special buffet or barbecue! The bar service is excellent and they are always looking to please. We keep returning to Bohio for these, and many other reasons. I should add that the diving was awesome and we had great experiences with Archie as our guide! We will certainly return to our home away from home!
