This hotel was like going through a maze . We found our room clean Fridge was on so it was cool the shower was awesome found no tub not a problem the balcony was very nice used it till almost dark the breakfast was very nice and the staff was kind nice place to set and have breakfast

Stayed in GM just for a night while in the area to go skating at Gun Flint Lake. From the moment we arrived I was impressed. Check in, to departure. Rooms were spacious, very clean, comfortable beds and all rooms overlook beautiful Lake Superior with a balcony. Large glass enclosed showers. Breakfast was impressive, as most hotels you get the same old stuff. They had lovely baked egg dish with tomatoes and garlic, magic pancake maker, lovely scones and muffins along with all of the usual. They open a wee bar from 5-9 so we enjoyed some wine. The hot tub was fabulous. Very large with a waterfall. Overall it was a fantastic stay. I only found out on checking out that it is family run. My applause to you all. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in lovely Grand Marais.

The Best Western Plus Superior Inn is basically the only-game-in-town in Grand Marais when it comes to brand name lodging. The next closest city with brand name hotels is Duluth, which is 90+ minutes away. And perhaps for that reason, the rate here is $200+ per night. If there were a more crowded hotel market in town, then this hotel would probably be $150 per night at the most. Having said that, the hotel itself is fine. Clean, comfortable and quiet. I will say that breakfast could have been more impressive considering the rate. I've stayed at a number of hotels with lower rates that had more impressive breakfast options than this.

This is a wonderful hotel. Beds and pillows are comfortable, the view is wonderful. Parking is a bit of an issue at times, but there is extra parking across the street. I'm not a big fan of the citrus soap and shampoos they offer...I prefer products without scent, but that is not a big issue. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the price. It is getting so expensive, it is becoming cost prohibitive to stay there.

Accessible bathroom was truly accessible with handrails, low shower nozzle, and shelving to put shower supply. Breakfast offered all a diabetic person needed for the day. Front desk and other staff very helpful, including freezer to store Victoza supplies

Hotel staff is exceptional, breakfast choices are good. All rooms have a lovely Lake Superior view. Spacious room (2 queen) with first floor patio to enjoy the lake view. Clean rooms, nicely appointed, plenty of well-placed outlets, seating area and comfortable bed and pillows. Wished the fridge had a small freezer but minor inconvenience. Location excellent. Walking distance to many specialty shops and restaurants and the Lake!! A bit difficult to find as Google sends one to the side entrance. Just stay on 61, go beyond the stoplight (and the Marathon gas station), turn at the small eye level BW road sign. Hotel signage on front of hotel says "Superior Inn".

The hotel was clean and cozy. The room was big and nice. Steve at the front desk was great. He quickly addressed any concern I had and followed up after. He was calm and kind during busy times. The hottub is beautiful. The hotel is in a great location being lakeside and also a quick walk to cute shops and good food.

This hotel has great customer service and is always clean and well-maintained. The views of the Great Lake are awesome, as is the sound of the waves at night. It is easy to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants, out to the 'beach', to Artist's Point, or to the Angry Trout, Java Moose or the Folk School, etc. It is a pet-friendly hotel as well. The lobby provides plenty of space to meet up with your friends for your next adventure, enjoy a snack together, or just relax.
