Hotel Casa 1800 Granada

Excellent location. Beautiful building. Great view of the Alhambra from our room! Friendly and helpful staff. Gran Taberna great for lunch and lots of good restaurants for dinner. We loved Antigua Bodega Castaneda for great house wine and fabulous food. Huge measure of Cardinal Mendoza brandy! Would stay here again!

We had a great stay at Casa 1800 Granada. It's so charming and peaceful. The building has been superbly restored retaining the historic elements and providing a fully modern experience. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. You'll have everything you need for a perfect stay. Breakfast options are delicious and plentiful. The kind lady that oversees breakfast always has a smile. The afternoon tea time is lovely and a good reason to return to enjoy the hotel. A couple of nights we chose to have a light dinner in the dining area/lobby. Valerie took such good care of us both nights. He is a joy! Some helpful hints. Casa 1800 is not a cookie cutter layout. Read the details of each room, especially if you have mobility issues. Not all rooms on the upper floors are accessible by elevator and sizes vary. We've stayed at both Casa 1800 locations, and have been so very happy at both. Just spectacular.

My pre booking correspondence by email was replied to promptly and their English was clearly understood. The location is excellent. Tucked away in a narrow street in the Albaicin district and full of character and charm. It’s close to restaurants and shops, but shielded from street noise. Because of the narrow street, it is not directly accessible by car or taxi. But can be easily reached by a 50m walk from the main street. If you have a lot of luggage, mention it at the time of booking. Check in was quick and easy and the staff are very helpful. Room 5 is a superior room overlooking the small courtyard. This section of the hotel is only accessible by stairs, however the opposite section does have an elevator so those who have difficulty with stairs should mention it at the time of booking. The room is slightly small but quiet and comfortable. It comes with the usual amenities like a safe, mini fridge, hair dryer, toiletries. The bed is comfortable and the WiFi is strong and stable throughout the hotel. Breakfast was included in our rate and comes with a small assortment of typical breakfast items like fruit, pastries, juices, coffee and tea. If you ask the server, the kitchen will make eggs to order. Complimentary afternoon tea was a great addition during our siesta time. The staff are friendly and helpful in making your stay a good one. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Granada 1800 and would recommend it.

Great location, very helpful at reception desk. Unique hotel - old world feel but with all modern amenities. Tea time was a bonus. I would recommend staying here and would stay again myself when I return to Granada.Hotel was a little hard to find at first because taxi just dropped us off and said walk up stairs.. lol. Also there is no parking at hotel, we missed that detail and accidentally (and harrowing) drove through old town. If you are driving - speak with the hotel prior to arrival about where to park ( nearby parking lot address) and uber or taxi to hotel location.

Great location in Granada set on a quiet back alley, the open interior courtyard was extremely charming for relaxing and enjoying their complimentary afternoon tea with snacks. Rooms are small but very clean, exposed beams and classic furnishings, bathrooms were modern and comfortable. Friendly staff providing good local recommendations, would definitely stay here again. great price point as well.

Junior suite booked - Very disappointed, small, TV did not work, lots of stairs, bathtub leaked, room had interior windows no air movement and stuffy and dusty. When you open the interior window you hear all the noise from the breakfast area. Furniture is well past its time, very worn. We booked for 3 nights and left after 1. - no refund and made a formal complaint - we will see how it goes. We did find another beautiful hotel and our vacation is back on track! Very over priced for quality provided We saw that After we left - approx 220 euros/ night was the rate we paid Later saw it for 90!!!!!! And the 2 nights we gave back to them the showed sold out, but no refund for us. The sold the rooms The staff were friendly but did not have authority to approve our refund. We travel ALOT never had a hotel we felt we needed to leave and find another place.
