The apartment is fine, for two people it has plenty of space, any more and I’d say you’re pushing it. We had a ground floor apartment, we had a nice patio and little stone garden, there’s a sunbed, 3 chairs and a table, we also had a recliner chair. Little rack in the wall to dry towels etc. Towels were changed 3 times a week, beds were changed once a week. We did have an issue with our shower tray, it had cracks in it that most days expressed the dirtiest water whilst you showered. (It literally looked like 💩) This is not in Maspalomas- this is Sonneland, which is a good walk away from anything central on the island. If you decide to stay here - go room only. We went all inclusive for 2 weeks, drinks start from 11am to 10:30pm. You can get water and juice from 8am to 10am during breakfast and then the door is locked so you don’t even have access to water. Lunch is cooked straight after breakfast, you can smell the oil and chips hours before, lunch is 1pm to 3pm and it’s pretty much all cold from the moment the door is open. I’m a picky eater so usually don’t judge food harshly in reviews, but the person I’m with usually gives everything a go and even they struggled. Dinner is 6:30pm to 8pm and it’s mostly what’s left over from lunch and is again mostly cold from the moment you can go in. There is 2 pools, one that is split into two by this concrete divider, even without the divider it’s pretty small, and a kids little pool. It was always clean, and we watched them clean it most mornings. We didn’t see much ‘sunbed wars’ whilst here, only a few people reserving beds. There was never a time that there wasn’t sun beds for people, but if everyone stayed here and didn’t go to the beach there would be a problem. Most of the bar staff were nice and friendly, some of them were pretty rude and definitely favoured the spanish guests, which you get. Never had an issue with reception staff, they were all helpful and spoke good English. The entertainment is 4 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. A few hours in the day and a few hours in the night, it was bingo and karaoke mostly from what we seen but we didn’t stay for it. There’s a spar just up the road, and a Aldi about 5 minutes further. There’s 3 restaurants in walking distance, I recommend Love & Hate by the Aldi, burgers were absolutely fantastic, best bit of food we ate this whole holiday.
