On our journey around the Eastern Cape we had the pleasure to spend the night at the charming African Safari Lodge. Dean, the manager handled our reservation and it was a pleasure communicating with him. Before our departure for the lodge he sent us a PIN to easily find the place. The drive to the lodge is beautiful and with a bit of luck you will encounter a road block by some majestic giraffes. Our spacious luxury suite had breathtaking views right from our comfy king size bed over the Kariega River. Dean took us on a relaxing sundowner boat cruise in the late afternoon and shared the history on the lodge and the game reserve. That evening we had a delicious dinner made by Chef Gift presenting my favorite game meat “Eland steak” prepared to perfection. Afterwards we enjoyed a few drinks at the bush bar before retiring for the night. In the morning after breakfast Dean escorted us on a morning game drive before starting our drive to our next destination, Addo Elephant Park…..

What a memorable 3 days at the African Safari Lodge. Such a friendly welcome from Dean, who truly made us feel at home. The peaceful and beautiful countryside was the ideal place to break away from the busyness of life, to unwind, surrounded by nature, spectacular views, wildlife, and tranquil waters. A reminder of God's beautiful creation. The exceptional staff – Dean, Gift, Lungi, and Thando – went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you for the delicious food, and the Malva and Custard dessert was a highlight. Even with a fractured ankle, you made a way for me to join the activities, the gamedrive and beautiful sunset cruise. I'll definitely be back again soon, and next time around, I will not miss out on the kayaking. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable experience.

What a stunning place to relax in nature without having to travel far from the city! The tranquility and beauty of this place is amongst the best we've experienced throughout our travels. The luxury suite is stunning with beautiful views of the dam.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. My wife Caroline and I thoroughly our stay with Dean and his fantastic team. You will be treated like family from the minute you arrive until the minute you depart. The service levels, delicious food, clean luxurious room and activities are the best we had in South Africa. The only disappointing part is leaving! Thank you for being authentic and welcoming us into this tranquil setting within the Eastern Cape.

The lodge was really beautiful and very relaxing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our weekend at African Safari Lodge and would definitely return. Great place to go to wind down and get away from the hussle and bussle.

African Safari Lodge We just wanted to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and love during Kyla's 30th birthday celebration. Whether you joined in the festivities, helped with the planning, we truly felt surrounded by kindness, joy and much love. Your hospitality made this milestone even more meaningful, and we will cherish the memories we created together. We so grateful for everyone at African Safari Lodge, Dean, Hennie, Gift and the ladies that made Kyla's birthday unforgettable! Thank you again for being part of this special day that eventually ended up being 3 wonderful days. Here’s to many more celebrations and memories together! It was the best stay we had, the service was excellent and the food is tops, the best stay we had as a family. We had a lovely time. Such humble staff, thank you Dean for the excellent way we were treated, thank you Lungi for the most relaxing massages you gave us, and Gift you are such a blessing with such a talent with food. Thank you so much for the hospitality and the best service ever.

What can I say but wow, wow, wow. From our arrival on Friday till our departure on Sunday we were spoilt by Dean and his professional staff. The week end was a wonderful adventure. We enjoyed both the boat trip and the game drive. Lots of laughs was had by us all. The accomodation was top class with such a lovely view of the Kariega River. Thank you Dean. We will definetly be back

The River Suite is spectacular😍The views, The Sunset Boat Cruise was relaxing,the food AMAZING just EVERYTHING about African Safari Lodge is SPECTACULAR❤️!!!!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Dean you made our stay flippen lekker!!
