Grand Ring Hotel

On arrival, which was around 11pm, first impressions were good. We were greeted by a member of staff who wheeled our cases in to the hotel and to our room for us, showed us to our room and explained how the safe worked etc after reception checked us in quickly and smoothly. The daytimes at the pool with the slides were good, we didn’t struggle to find a sun lounger - despite a lot of them being reserved from early in the morning, the pool bar had a good selection of drinks, the staff were all really friendly and helpful and were constantly cleaning around the pool which included clearing any excess water from the pool which was a slip hazard. Unfortunately, for us, that’s where the good ended. Our room was not a 5 star standard which this hotel is supposed to be. Whilst I appreciate that standards are different in different countries, I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels with better rooms. The curtains weren’t clipped at the top, which on its own is nothing but there was also a hole in the wall with wires in it, we’re not sure if they were live or not and luckily we weren’t travelling with children who could easily have pulled on them. The bathroom, on first glance looked fine, but then we noticed that the pipe draining water away from the air con was running into the shower, again, not a massive issue. Except for the fact that it doesn’t look as though it’s been cleaned in a very long time and the water dripping from it pooled into the shower and didn’t drain away. The bathroom in general just didn’t feel very clean at all. Of the 5 nights we ate at the restaurant we only managed to eat a decent meal on one of those nights. The other 4 nights weren’t great, we mostly ate just chips. We aren’t fussy eaters in the slightest, but we found quite a bit of the food wasn’t labelled and we at least like to know what it is we’re eating. We were also practically pushed out of the way by other guests in the hotel who didn’t seem to have any patience or just manners in general and when we did manage to find a bit of food we liked the look of it was cold by the time we got it to our table. Luckily, the snack bar did burgers and chips at lunch time (with a bit of salad and fruit and I think there was pizza available also) so we managed to get 1 decent meal a day (we’re not massive breakfast eaters at home so can’t comment on that as we didn’t go for breakfast). I ended up buying noodles from a nearby shop to have in the evening just to make sure I’d eaten something. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, which is a shame because on paper it has everything we were looking for. But in reality, we found that it didn’t, which is sad when you spend all year looking forward to your holiday and it doesn’t live up to expectations. And, before the hotel replies with the same comment that I’ve seen on other reviews, no where when booking did I see that this is a “low cost hotel”, nor would I have booked it if I’d have known in advance that it doesn’t live up to the sta

My vacation started not so good with a wrong room, but then my problem was resolved very professionally and fast from the manager of reception.I have been in a lot of 5 stars hotels and I can say they all have their unique style and difference, What made me a big impression here is how the people work - they give full effort for the satisfaction of the customer. Everytime I see the stuff mopping, cleaning, rearranging. I am impressed from the aroma they use , when you enter the hotel, no matter where you are, even in the toilets smells of this fresh Parfum. How they take care of the gardens and flowers. They water and spray the whole day ! In every minute the stuff is working! The nice attitude towards the cats around-lovely! I say people with hearts take care of all your needs in Grand Ring so I recommend it Something very important for me I heard very rare German language here - and I found it great! You can all use the international languages English and Russian

A fantastic 10 day stay. Comfortable, clean room. Plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Lovely refreshing pools with plenty of sun beds ( September) . Hardworking staff that were as pleasant to you as you were to them. There were lots of rude holiday makers that appeared to have left their manners at home! Small local town Beldibi with good shopping. 25 euros each way to Kemer for more choice and a couple of good restaurants (Qualista Beach and Leon’s ) We didn’t watch the evening entertainment preferring to sit and chat at the pool bar but what we saw and heard was good.

A sold 4 star holiday! Just came back last week from staying five nights at this lovely hotel in Kemer Antalya. Have to say before I went the reviews were horrific but we were a party or 22 people and we had a fabulous holiday! All the staff in the reception and spa were ever so helpful and really friendly the manager was lovely and helpful. The staff were always willing to help and the rooms were cleaned and fridge was topped up daily. The food was great there was something for everyone including a Turkish night with delicious chops and donner meat. For people who left reviews saying there was no meat let me tell you there is always dishes with either meat or chicken plus options for vegetarian. The hotel also has a great pool bar which was open from 12-4pm so if you miss lunch you would definitely be able to pick up some food there and the bars were great there was always water bottles readily available everywhere and and the Aryaans which really helped us. The beach was nearby just across the road or through a tunnel either way it’s a few minutes walk but although the beach was pebbly there were lots of excursions right on the beach such as Jetcars jet ski paragliding which was awesome. The only down fall is the AC in the rooms four of our rooms ac was not working very well and on the last day after sufferering my sons skin flared up because of the heat but on the last day they changed the remote and the ac worked absolutely fine if only someone was able to suggest that in the first night or two then we would definitely give it a 5 star. This is not a five star hotel and don’t be fooled by the gallery for the rooms as these are not even from this hotel. We paid £300 extra for a sea front large family room. The wallpaper was hanging off, the room hadn’t been cleaned and there was still hair from the previous people who stayed in the room. The air conditioning was leaking. The doe frames for the bathroom had sections cut out. The floor had expanded in areas causing gaps between the flooring. We arrived after 9pm and was told there was no food available until after midnight when we could make a toastie. If you want a sun lounger be prepared to get up around 6.30am. The poolside is extremely slippy and on average around ten people slipped and fell. One lady was carrying a small toddler and slipped and fell. I slipped and fell hitting my head on the sun lounger, bruising to my arm, leg and bruising to my wrist. I complained to the customer relations guy and asked them to provide more of the none slip mats that they do have around the pool in certain locations. Despite requesting this to make it safe none were put down. There are many nationalities at the hotel, Russian, polish, Romanian etc, the English holiday makers were in the minority and the other nationalities were incredibly ignorant, on many occasions pushing in the queue for the food and bar and the staff did nothing. Many of these people stare and walk straight at you, the most unfriendly hotel I have ever stayed at. After a few days my daughter started feeling unwell, headache, aches, sever stomach cramps and diarrhoea, she spent a day sleeping in the room. I’m the next few days myself and my husband had the same. I had the same symptoms for five days which was painful and I was unable to eat for fear of making me feel worse. I actually weigh less after a 12 night stay than before I went. The buffet restaurant closes at certain times but all of the meat runs out about an hour before it closes and the staff don’t replenish the food, on one occasion I had to give my son a bowl of fries only as there was nothing left to eat. The entertainment isn’t great and the water sports are only aimed at the adults. Kids queuing to get involved only to be told this isn’t for kids. There isn’t a variety of music or evening entertainment, this isn’t a hotel that caters for English, the adjacent hotel has a variety of music. There are no restaurants or bars working walking distance, only a handful of shops, so unfortunately it became quite boring of an evening around the pool. Drinks are watered down. On a positive the hotel is clean in communal spaces and staff are seen throughout the day cleaning such as around the pool area. A recommendation would be to have hand sanitisers on each of the tables in the restaurant to stop the spread of germs as this is how myself and family and other families we met became ill.
