I booked the Vista Cave Hotel off a recommendation from a colleague. My stay started out great. The check-in experience was pleasant and I thought this was going to be a wonderful stay… …that is until my last night when I had a friend VISIT for about an hour. Yes, I said VISIT. They did not stay the night nor had plans to. Once during our visit, around 10:30pm, the owner had one of the hotel associates knock on my door to ask when I was leaving in the morning. I thought this was odd to be asking such a question at that time of night. Although this was rude, unnecessary, and late, I told them around 7am. My friend then left and few moments later, around 11:45pm, I hear ANOTHER knock on my door. The same hotel worker handed me his phone to speak with the owner. The owner had been sitting at home, late at night with nothing else apparently to do, watching the cameras to see who came and went. He FLIPPED OUT on me asking why I didn’t check with reception (on the next floor up) to have someone in my room. I told him, “I didn’t think it was necessary for someone to VISIT, not stay the night.” I told him I travel the world, and I had never had anyone react the way he did for a visitor. He said he didn’t care about the rest of the world, and this was “rude” in his country. I again stressed to him my friend had been VISITING, not staying. He told me, “I know, I watched them leave!” Although I felt it was completely unnecessary for the late night interruptions, and even with the understanding they were just visiting, I apologized. Frazzled, he then hung up the phone on me. Had the owner not unnecessarily flipped out, I would’ve left this hotel a good review. Breakfast was mediocre. My room was clean. However, I will never stay here again, and I advise you not to if there’s a chance you may have a friend visit for an hour or so. Apparently, the owner has nothing better to do than sit at home and watch cameras to see who comes and goes room by room, and chastise his guests if they have a visitor over for an hour. I don’t know if the owner has some prejudices, preconceived notions, or what, but I can’t understand why a guest having a friend over for a short time enraged him.

The hotel itself is very beautiful. It has nice view especially in the roof top. They serve nice breakfast buffet. Lovely staff! Everyday they clean the room. Mr. Senol (hotel owner) recommend nice restaurants. He even managed all our tours for us. They are very accomodating to the guest always wear big smiles and Mr. Senol even joke with us. They give us free tea. We checked out at 11 am and roam around the area, we came back to the hotel but they still accomodate us and give us free tea again. He sit around with us and talked with us! We will definitely come back here and will stay again in Vista Cave Hotel!

The owner Mr Senol was very helpful and very friendly. We felt really safe as he guided us and managed all our tours and transfers. He suggested restaurants which were really worth it and he gave us discounts. He is a very kind and honest person. All the other staffs were very good and accommodating. The place was so good, clean and all the attention to details was very good. Place was being cleaned every day and supplies being replenished everyday. The breakfast was very thought off and was very good. The place was just couple of minutes away from shops and really. We will definitely be back here ❤️❤️❤️

Can not recommend Vista Cave Hotel highly enough; Turkish hospitality at its best. Wonderful views across Goreme town, perfectly positioned for the sunrise balloon flights. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean and breakfast was delicious and generous. Vista Cave’s owner, Senol, provided us priceless recommendations on local restaurants and sightseeing options (both tours and self guided). Goreme can be daunting with so many tour and transport providers in town; it was a relief to have Senol take care of the bookings for us. Thanks Senol, Mustafa and the team for a wonderful stay.

Booked directly and Senol and Yvette were very prompt in their replies. When we arrived Senol was very friendly and quickly checked us all in as we were group of 8 and helped with carrying all the bags as rooms in different parts of hotel! The view from the terrace of Goreme and Rose Valley was amazing and perfect place to see the balloons launching at sunrise! Rooms all different, quaint,comfortable and adequately furnished! The outer 2 rooms had best views of the valley and much larger than inner rooms! Hotel is walking distance to town downhill via steepish slope, returning uphill was a bit challenging but doable! Breakfast was a nice spread of pastries, cakes, bread, salads, cheese, fruit, cereals etc. After initial friendly welcome, Senol didn’t engage with us at all, didn’t come and meet us on day we checked out and as we had to leave early for the airport, the packed breakfast was really derisory especially after we had requested just a small cheese roll, some fruit and small pastry! Good location and if we had better hospitality and service, would recommend but there are lots of other small hotels in same area available!
