Balbirnie House Hotel

We had our wedding here back in June and from start to finish we could not have wished for a more perfect day. This would have not been as perfect if it wasn't for the amazing staff. Neither we or any of our guests could pick a fault with the service we received and our guests still to this day compliment on how outstanding the venue and staff present were. Our wedding coordinator Angela was on hand from morning until night and kept us all on the right path to a smooth sailing day (even making sure the grooms fly plaid was sitting right ). Shannon our planner kept myself and my parter in the loop and ensured we had our plan in place and that everything was organised well before our big day. It was lovely to have such happy, friendly and cheerful faces from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. All of the staff work incredibly hard! We cannot forgot to mention David who is fun, positive and full life and just what every couple needs to calm their nerves on such a big day. He was there from start to finish even after everyone had left, buffing up the Ballroom floor ready for the next happy couple! Thank you so much again for such an amazing day! Mr and Mrs McGhie ❤️ x

Get married at balbirnie!! The venue itself is beautiful and artistic and makes an amazing picture! we booked our wedding here as we loved the option of food they had on the wedding package and choice. They offered a GF range , vegan and if any allergies we had from guests were present they can modify the menu to suit them ☺️ I would like to praise the wedding team we had a special mention to Leah , David and Lewis. Without these 3 our day wouldn’t have ran so smoothly and a massive thank you to all staff who were on too! They were attentive and supported us throughout the process including the tasting menu and any questions asked they were more than happy to help.

We had our wedding at Balbirnie House on the 8th June 2024. We stayed the full weekend and it was the best weekend of our lives. From the moment we checked in the staff were so accommodating and friendly, they made you feel like you were the only ones staying there. We had a BBQ the night before our wedding and the food was delicious. The day of our wedding was like a dream, from breakfast being delivered to the Pearl suite for myself and the bridesmaids to everything running so seamlessly throughout the day - we couldn't have asked for more. Many guests commented on how it was the best food they've had at a wedding. The drinks were a little on the expensive side but that is to be expected with a venue such as this. We stayed in the Pearls suite the night before which was so beautiful with the big windows, lots of light and comfy bed. We then stayed in the honeymoon suite for two nights which was incredible - the four poster bed and stand alone bath tub! The best thing about the venue overall though is the staff. They are all amazing! We will definitely be back for an overnight stay soon.

Balbirnie was the location for our wedding and it was just amazing from start to finish. The rooms are so nice and there are so many different types and the were so accommodating to everything we needed. Shannon, David and the team were all so great on the day and the lead up to the day. The surrounding areas are so nice as well for walks just beautiful scenery!

We got married here two weeks ago and we can't recommend Gaynor and her wedding team enough. When we came to view the venue they made us feel so special and had so much attention to detail from the start. We had viewed a few venues in and around Edinburgh and this was by far the best of the best. Communication throughout the whole wedding planning process was just brilliant. Gaynor, Leah, Katy and Shannon always replied promptly and went above and beyond. Even when we had issues with our welcome signs on short notice they sorted this out for us. On the actual wedding day everything went better than we expected. It was perfect from start to finish. All our guests said the same thing and still two weeks later contact us to say how amazing it was. David the MC had everything under control on the day and was super helpful. Our experience from start to finish could not have been better than it was, every staff member we talked to was polite and helpful and made our day so special. We definitely made the right choice booking Balbirnie and we can't recommend it enough. We stayed for 2 nights and dined in the restaurant as well the night before the wedding and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant is excellent and delicious. Our friend that's gluten intolerant said she has never had better food or bread anywhere else before. They were so accommodating to our guests and us. Also want to mention the girl that worked on check out at Reception on 14th October, she was so kind and nice - Sorry did not get her name. Thank you so much again Gaynor and her whole team (front and back of house)!

Beautiful hotel, nice large comfortable beds, free parking, lovely grounds. Wish we stayed longer, didn't want to leave. The hotel rooms and other areas all beautiful and lovely attention to detail. Shame it's abit too expensive to go back or have the breakfast.

We truly had the most amazing wedding day at Balbirnie everything was perfect - a huge amount of this we can credit to the wonderful staff and beautiful venue. Gaynor, Leah and the wedding planning team were fantastic in the run up to the big day, they were always on hand to answer any questions over email no matter how small, they really had thought of everything to make sure our day was amazing as it was. David was our on the day coordinator and was incredible, our families cannot sing his praises enough, I think he might be superhuman as he was here, there and everywhere and anything we needed on the day was sorted in an instant. He was in control of everything. The staff were excellent at catering to our difficult dietary requirements, and all our guest commented on how fantastic the food was. We would highly recommend Balbirnie as a wedding venue for any future couples, we will remember our wedding day at Balbirnie for the rest of our lives!

We honestly can’t recommend Balbirnie enough – it truly is the BEST wedding venue ever! From the moment we first visited, through all the planning, and right up to the big day itself, everything was absolutely perfect. The team at Balbirnie went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. A special thanks goes to Leah and Angela, who were nothing short of amazing! They ensured the entire day flowed seamlessly, and when our flowers didn’t arrive on time, they went out of their way to keep me calm. They even created beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaid using flowers from the Balbirnie gardens, which was one of the kindest, most thoughtful gestures. Those little details meant the world to us. Throughout the day, all we heard from our guests was how incredible the staff were and how delicious the food was. If you're dreaming of a perfect wedding, I couldn’t imagine a more magical place than Balbirnie!

We had our son and daughter-in-law's wedding at Balbirnie House on 9/10 October. From the time of our arrival to the our time of departure the experience was unbelievable. The venue is stupendous and the weather did its bit as well, including the Northern Lights on the actual wedding day. To Gaynor and staff thank you for such a memorable two days.
