Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes

Location wise Glenrothes Holiday Inn is a bit further from Edinburgh city center and no amenities, unlike Dumferline Holiday Inn. But hospitality and service are more friendly. The available free coffee, hot chocolate and juice drinks is a plus. But hey, the price is much more affordable than others, it is a definitely permanent choice for my frequent Scotland business trips.

We stayed here for a wedding we were attending in Balbernie House. Reception staff were so friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Double beds were comfortable and breakfast was lovely. There is a pub next door if you want a drink but hotel does offer bottled drinks and water. Highly recommend this hotel. I forgot to get the ladies name on reception. Blonde lady with glasses. She could not be more helpful!

Stayed here for a week, whilst visiting family. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was a great size. The bed was massive! And extremely comfortable - so much so - we didn't want to get up! Lol Breakfast was good - although a choice of egg would have been nice, instead of scrambled each morning. The only other thing that needed improving was the awful coffee from the machine. I had a latte machiato twice - the first was just frothy milk and little coffee - the 2nd was awful - literally ended up with a mouthful of bitter coffee grains. 🤑 However, the price of the hotel, together with the comfortable room, friendly staff and quiet location means we will DEFINITELY return.

wow brilliant place...better than the travel lodge we used to go to; but the rooms are very welcoming, shower powerful and hot-, beds are comfortable with the pillows just right. Free breakfast is reallythe icing on the cake..selection of cereals, ot hot breakfast or both :) really was very good service here and we will return :)

Wish I had read all of these one star reviews before booking this hotel at Holiday Inn express glenrothes for our trip. Customer service is non existent. We won't book this hotel again. There are plenty of better options in the surrounding areas.

Despite being a frequent visitor to Glenrothes this was my first stay at the Holiday Inn Express. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality having only paid just over £100 per night. Nice friendly and efficient staff. Clean and recently removed bedrooms (or so it seemed), comfortable bed, great shower, nice toiletries and a good breakfast. Lots of parking and a nice pub next door. I enjoyed my stay and will return.

Poor customer service. They gave me a receipt which did not reflect the full amount I paid and refused to give me correct one but will make a complaint as they took the money off my card and this is against consumer standards.

Great food and good service and she is so nice they always have a laugh with us so good loved it I would come back she is so per nice she is lovely and she would have a good joke that makes me laugh every time she serves me she make me happy and you have nice people
