Heart of Glencoe Holidays

Had a really lovely stay here. Very peaceful and relaxing with wonderful views of the mountains. We stayed in one of the four Gold plus caravans. Very spacious and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfy ! We really enjoyed our time here and felt very rested when we left. A fantastic area to see all that Glencoe has to offer. A wonderful place to get away from it all. Highly recommended.

My son and I stayed in the Alpine bunkhouse for two nights while we did the Aonach Eagach ridge. This bunkhouse has private rooms, we booked the four bed. All bedding was provided, it was clean and comfortable with great shared kitchen facilities. The surroundings are simply stunning. Leanne, although we never met her dealt with all enquiries quickly and efficiently. Leanne's husband (who's name I forget, sorry) was helping manage the site who we did meet was very helpful making sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. Although the Alpine was basic as you would expect it was cleaner and felt nicer due to some extent to the surroundings and engagement of Leanne's husband than some of the hotel's I've stayed in. I can't speak for the other accommodation on this site but I'm sure it will be a positive experience If you're not looking for 4 star hotel (and cost) and simply want somewhere clean, warm, welcoming in a beautiful location near a lovely village and close to a great pub, the Clachaig Inn you can't go wrong. Ideal for walkers and adventurers of all types

We stayed in a Gold Plus Caravan for a weekend of hillwalking in Glencoe. The caravan was spotlessly clean, comfortable and equipped with all the necessities. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. It’s ten minutes’ drive to Ballachulish, where there’s a grocery shop and a takeaway. The iconic Clachaig Inn is a mile away, along a quiet road with a good footpath. It’s a 20 minute drive to Glencoe Ski Centre. A couple of great hill walks start only a half mile from the site. We enjoy two or three hillwalking weekends per year in The Highlands, and our accommodation at Heart of Glencoe was amongst the best we have stayed in. All in all, it’s a great choice for a base to enjoy all that Glencoe has to offer and we have more hills to climb in the area, so we will certainly return.

We stayed for three nights in Leven luxury caravan. It was comfortable and well-appointed and suited our needs. We could recommend it for a short break or longer holiday. For those who wish to self-cater there is a good Co-op supermarket in nearby.Ballachulish.

Easy and smooth booking. Keys on the door when we arrived. We were asked to leave the keys on the door at check out. Cosy caravan, all equiped. Beds not very comfortable but acceptable. Nice views. Bear in mind that you are asked to undo all the beds, put all linen in laundry bag as well as all towels used before check out at 10 am. This is not included in the price. For a family of 4 with 2 teenagers that was no mean feat on a Sunday morning. We hurried to undo all the beds, gather all our stuff and leave the place tidy. A lady came in around 10.15 am. We said we were sorry and were almost ready to go. She could see we were packed and loading the car. She came back about 5 minutes later, reminded us we were meant to be out by 10am and basically waited to make sure we were out. We shoved in the car everything that was left, put our shoes on (untied), started the engine on and quickly left, feeling as if we were running away like thieves. The first half hour of my Glencoe experience was tainted by this uncomfortable feeling but fortunately the breathtaking landscapes cleared the discomfort. We did the Lost Valley walk and we all loved it including our teenagers who had an amazing time scrambling, climbing, exploring. Anyway, the bottom line is that the rule was 10 am check out, we were late, that’s our fault. But a little bit of understanding and kindness would have been appreciated, particularly as it was our very first face-to-face contact with the people running the place. We live in Glasgow and will definitely come back to Glencoe but sadly not to Heart of Glencoe Holidays even with the 10% discount for returning Guests. Despite the name, it didn’t feel there was much heart into this business.

We had a last minute 2 night stay in one of the caravans and we just had the best time, set in such a peaceful location. The caravan was well equipped with comfy beds and lovely bedding as well, the little added Scottish touches were fab ❤️ We enjoyed the short walk to the local and enjoyed some fab food and drink before enjoying a walk back with torches. The owners clearly love what they are doing and they kept us well informed. We will definitely return for longer next time. ☺️
