We booked a stay here for one night to take in a show at the Oran Mor in the west end of Glasgow. The hotel has an overall lived in appearance and could do with a spruce up. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very small but clean. The bed was very uncomfortable. The electronic lock on the door wouldn’t work properly and needed several attempts to allow it to open. The room was quite warm so we slept with the window open, that was until we were woken by the horrific smell of someone smoking ***** either from an adjacent room or outside accompanied by the shouting and screaming of drunks until the early hours. A very uncomfortable stay all in all.

I stayed at Leonardo Inn Glasgow West End on May 23, 2025, in Room 218, and checked out the next day. Shortly after leaving the hotel, I realized that I had left a pair of green slippers in the room. However, as I was heading to another city, I didn’t have time to return and pick them up. I contacted the hotel immediately, explained the situation, and asked if they could help send the slippers back to me. Unfortunately, the hotel completely denied finding any lost item in the room and showed no willingness to assist or double-check. I am 100% sure that I left the slippers in the room, and their lack of responsibility and support was incredibly disappointing. In addition, the kettle in the room was broken and unusable. Even worse, it still contained water from the previous guest, which was very unhygienic and unacceptable for any hotel. For a hotel that claims to offer proper services and 24-hour front desk support, this experience was extremely unprofessional. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

The hotel is good. Little bit far from City central otherwise it good. The bathroom tap for hot water is bit trivial.

Staff at reception helpful and nice. Room very dusty and could have done with a clean. Shower rail broken, shower also unable to be turned off. While showering often the water would go scalding. No plug in sink. Plenty towels. Reasonable price but felt much needed to be improved.

The shower head had thick black mould Funny smell from bathroom drains room nice and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good location and good value for money

I have to say that all the staff I met were fantastic. The people at reception and in the restaurant were excellent. The cleaning staff also showed perfect honesty by handing in things that I had left behind in the room. However, the fabric of the building is tired. The shower (over the bath) was not consistent, the channel changer was faulty. The bar/restaurant area had no vibrance. Also cash was not accepted. Very reasonable price

Excellent hotel with all good services.But, food wise we were not happy because it is serving only English breakfast and lunch and very limited options for Indian travellers. Room service charges are 6 pounds we felt it little extra and expensive

Definitely recommended. The hotel is very clean and tidy, the reception staffs here are professional and friendly, the room and bed are quite cozy. The bathroom contains bathtub. Very nice experience!

The room was freezing and dirty. Staff attitude shocking. By cold I mean that It was 12 degrees, with no working heating. The window did not shut properly.. The handle and its mechanism were broken; judging by the amount of dirt and grime accumulated on it that had been the case for quite some time. As a result, there was a gap of about an inch along the top of the window - wide enough for the top curtain to move in the wind during the stormy night. Also wide enough for me to smell every cigarette that staff had out the back, and everything that was cooked in the kitchen. Outside temperatures were below 10 Celsius, so my room was not much warmer. No air conditioning in the room. The radiator was not working - presumably because central heating was turned off during a (very cold) first week of summer. No extra duvets. Reception not answering the phone. I lay in bed shivering. By dirty I mean that the room was not cleaned. Housekeeping just didn’t bother providing the service that I was paying for. So after a long day out I came back to an unmade bed, and the dirty mugs from the night before, tea / coffee / milk not having been replenished. So warming up with a hot beverage was not an option, even as I lay in bed shivering. Ordinarily, in a hotel at this price one would expect to at least be able to take a hot shower to warm up. Unfortunately, the tap on the bath was equally broken in what again looked like a longstanding issue. So only cold showers were available. I did not want to be in that room. I did not want to be in that hotel. I ended up there due to Leonardo’s exceptionally poor customer service. There are two Leonardo hotels in Glasgow. I was travelling with a group of several people, all intending to stay in the same hotel. Through a booking error, we had ended up in different hotels of the same chain. A couple of days before arriving, I requested a transfer from one to the other - both hotels belonging to the same group. Back came the cheerful response that the booking was not cancellable. Of course I did not want to cancel, I wanted to be in the same place as my friends. Leonardo’s suggestion was that I pay for a second room in another Leonardo Hotel in the same city if I wanted to do so, because they already had my money and saw no need to be accommodating in any way now I had paid. In that spirit they put me in a freezing cold room and then didn’t clean. Because, hey, they already had my money, what was I going to do about it now. I am definitely never staying at a Leonardo again.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable, clean, and right across the street from Gartnavel Hospital. Close to the bus and train as well.
