I left the accomm 1 day early - security at the hotel was lacking, security cameras not working and the lane poorly lit. Bikes could've been better - The pool area is gorgeous, largest pool on the island - the room itself was a great size re own living area. Unfortunately, the bathroom tiles were not clean, massive hole near the shower head, sliding doors to the pool didn't lock and never seemed to get a room key - Due to security issues, moved a lounge chair in front of the front door, as door wouldn't lock without a key - the dead insects/debri under the lounge was a bit of a shock. The shower drain grill looked like it had never been cleaned re the amount of hair in it. Upon check in, was never asked for passport details - staff member offered dubious products within 30 mins of check in. I understand locals have done it tough during Covid, but I don't think this is acceptable. I am not a particularly fussy traveller either, but basic bathroom amenities should be clean. I travelled with a male companion, and I was still uneasy about my safety and my belongings re not being able to lock the room up. I don't use hotel safes anywhere, as there is always a master key..staff member had no problem following me into the room, and helping themselves to cigarettes that were on the bed. i feel awful putting a bad review when Indo is trying to recover. If I had been a solo female traveller there, I would have been even more concerned. Told on check in there were only 2 staff at hotel but strangely there were at least 4-6 Indonesian males in the lobby-seating area, overnight, on my last night there. The female manager was wonderful tho - brought in trays of Indonesian food on last night. Unfortunately by this stage, neither of us trusted the hotel, staff or anything supplied any longer. The cats enjoyed the feast. Not everyone that goes to Gili T wants to 'get on it' - i honestly went to see how it had changed in 10 years, and to swim at a beautiful beach only.
