Hotel-Restaurant Horizon ATH-Lessines

I visited for an overnight stay as part of a Leger Luxuria tour in June 2024. We were checked in swiftly on arrival and I had been allocated a room with a shower, as requested. The room was clean and comfortable with no identified cleanliness issues or concerns. The room was quite spacious and had air conditioning that worked well. I had a comfortable night with a good breakfast spread being provided in the morning. It was open but fairly industrial around the hotel, but is ideal for stop overs. I would recommend this hotel and have to say the beds were amazingly comfortable, which is not something I say often with hotels. I slept really well and would be happy to stay again. Their recommendations around theft prevention certainly made me smile - see photos.

The hotel, standard, clean, food was edible but not fantastic. Safe was not working in our room, went to reception to be told that nothing could be done as the guy who sorts them is off. So couldn't put passports in there. The hotel is basic, think premier inn but comfortable. A very random Santa head was hanging from the ceiling in the corridor, this was quite scary tbh. The whole floor or rooms got locked out their room at a very long and tiring day in the Christmas markets, everyone had to go downstairs and get the key card fixed. Apparently this also happened the week before to all the rooms as well. I accidentally left my bracelet and necklace on the side of the dressing table with leaving early and getting locked out of our room. They were left in the exact same spot I took them off every night for the 3 nights stay, I called and emailed them but they said nothing was handed in. So clearly the staff kept them or put them in the bin as they definitely got left in the room. The necklace and bracelet had no financial value as they were only cheap but my recently deceased mum gave them to me,so this is very upsetting and disappointing.

Part of Shearings tour, hotel is isolated if you have no car no restaurants nearby however the one on site we found ok, however breakfast not as good, hot food was cold or Luke warm but there was a good choice of continual style items Staff all friendly and helpful, had issue on arrival which was sorted rooms good size with shower over bath, however maintenance missed it or were not advised of the toilet seat not staying up and sink plug not holding water Both reported to reception Staff in restaurant superb and when you ask for ‘Apoint’ chateaubriand steak and it arrives perfectly cooked the chef knows why he is doing Just remember isolated area

Stayed 4 nights on a Leger holidays battlefield tour. The rooms were good. Quite large with a safe, Fridge, Kettle, hairdryer, Air conditioning, Iron and ironing board. Nice bath with rain shower and hand attachment. Handy water dispenser on ground and 3rd floors. Staff all appeared under pressure and I would imagine this is down to staff shortages. Receptionist doubles as the bar person. We understand that there is only one chef and as the night wore on (When we ate there) they were running out of items and we couldn't get a dessert at 9-50pm as the restaurant shuts at 10pm. (All we wanted was an ice cream!) The other downside is the location. Nothing in the near vicinity so if your not very mobile your stuck in the hotel.

The hotel is located just off a motorway with a few industrial buildings nearby. No other services such as shops or petrol station. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and modern and the staff are friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast and good evening meals at the restaurant. Because of the location the hotel is only suitable for coach groups or people with their own vehicle; no public transportation nearby.

A wonderful, friendly hotel with welcoming staff and loads of parking. Our room was clean, light and everything in working order, although we failed to find any TV channels in English. Good comfortable beds and quiet outside so two good nights sleep. The restaurant provided a substantial buffet breakfast with loads of choices, both hot and cold, and we ate there one evening. That meal was most enjoyable, well cooked and tasty, but perhaps a slightly larger choice from the menu would have been nice. All in all a great stay at a very nice hotel.
