We stayed for 3 nights in May. Warm welcome from the host, very helpful. Comfortable bed, good toiletries, hairdryer and robes ( no slippers). Our well presented downstairs room had a large bedroom and an additional sitting area. It is a very old building with a lot of charm, the downside is that the design doesn't always work very well, the toilet is very near to the bed for example, separated only by a sliding partition. The building has a roof terrace. The breakfast was very good - home made bread, good choices, including fruit salad and pastries and eggs cooked to order. Served at 9am. There is a lounge area with tea, coffee, cakes and a small honesty bar. We liked the building very much for its style and history, we would return. Lots of information about Ghent provided. It is situated in a quiet road but within a short walk of the old town, ideal.
