Excellent hotel with all the facilities you could need! The location is second-to-none for skiers, as the hotel is linked to the gondola via an underground route. The gondola station has ski lockers that are super-useful; you can store two people's skis, boots, gloves, helmets etc securely. We paid 5euro per day for this through the hotel. The hotel rooms are comfortable and spacious; I was travelling with my brother and booked a room with a double bed and sofa bed, however when we checked in we had been allocated a huge room, with a bedroom and a living room that could be separated by a door, and the generous sofa bed was ready in the living area, which was perfect for us as we both had our own space! The hotel rooms have all the amenities you need, including toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryer, TVs, safe, and plenty of storage for your belongings. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the main street in Gerlos, which provided a lovely view at night of the other buildings on the street lit up, as well as the snowy mountains. The hotel has plenty of amenities that make your stay very comfortable: there's a beautiful spa / pool area (there's a separate spa area for adults only, with a selection of saunas, steam room, relaxation area etc.), in the pool area there is also another sauna. There's two pools, one inside and one outside (you enter the outdoor pool straight from inside, so you don't need to run out in the cold!). The hotel bar is spacious, and we found it very comfortable when playing cards in the evenings, although it did get quite lively later on in the night! The service in the bar was excellent, the barman always came to offer table service. The food was a particular highlight of our stay, with a plentiful offering of locally-sourced and fresh food! The breakfast was a large buffet offering all the items you could want - even rice pudding! There was plenty of healthy options, as well as more indulgent ones. There is an afternoon snack available which we only used once, as we prefer to stop out on the slopes for lunch. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant is absolutely amazing. There's 5 courses on offer every night, and a gala dinner once per week. You select your main course at breakfast every day. We were never hungry during our stay as there was so much good food on offer! There's also a large selection of Austrian wines on offer, and the hotel, as well as the rest of the area, serve the Zillertal Bier, which is really nice! It's a shame we haven't found somewhere that will deliver it to the UK. By far the most important factor was how friendly the staff were; they were so accommodating and it felt like they really cared about making your stay enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant were particularly friendly - Natasa looked after us for a lot of our stay, and she was always happy and smiling! If you prefer to keep to yourself, the hotel has an app where you can view all of their information, dinner times etc., which we also used. T
