I really enjoy the ambiance of this hotel—it's clean and peaceful. The room size is just right, not too small. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Penang.

While the room doesn’t offer much of a view — unlike those in Batu Ferringhi or Tanjung Tokong — the interior is modern, clean, and comfortable. The lobby welcomes guests with a pleasant fragrance, creating a warm and inviting first impression. Inside the room, you’ll find access to YouTube and Netflix, which is a nice touch for relaxing after a day out. The only minor drawbacks are the slightly limited soundproofing and a compact bathroom, which reminds me of those in Hong Kong. That said, the toilet is sparkling clean and beautifully designed with a modern aesthetic. Another plus: the hotel provides free parking, and if the parking area is full, the staff are helpful and will assist in arranging alternative parking. Overall, this hotel offers great value, a superb location, and thoughtful service — ideal for travelers who want convenience and comfort while exploring Penang.

Hotel is clean and neat. Location is good Walking distance to Cecil street food centre. Room is cozy and new. Mattress is hard that I like, it's comfortable to sleep. They do provide the water dispenser which is a plus point for me. Kudo to the staff Daniial. I left my mobile device charger in the room. He was kind enough to deliver back to me. It's not his job to do that as it's hotel policy that they are not responsible if anything left in the hotel. But he did it. Recommended

Had a pleasant stay at Gallivant Hotel! The hotel is clean, modern, and has a stylish vibe. What stood out most was the young and energetic staff — very professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Truly made the stay more enjoyable. Just a heads-up: there's a RM2 tourism tax Overall, great location, excellent service, private parking and a comfy stay. Highly recommended!

Hotel location is quite good and staff also friendly and helpful. Room no have fridge and staff help us to keep. Room clean and will visit again.

Cozy hotel. Friendly staff and service. The hotel has its own parkings but they are limited. The staff will help to arrange parking when the parking lot is full.

Good location for those who want to relax and enjoy. Rooms are little small but comfortable enough. Main reason to stay here is the atmosphere and free Netflix and youtube access. Wifi is provided. Overall really great stay here. Staff is very helpful to locate parking although it is 2am.

Everything is good, just the hotel is not soundproofed

1. The room was really small, especially the bathroom. 2. But bearable since I travelled solo. 3. They allowed me to check in earlier, so that was a plus point. 4. Location wise, not that central, in my view. But you can grab from there easily.

The hotel is cozy and nice. But the sound insulation is not good, can hear people knocking the doors. Hair dryer is on request basis, and it’s attended quickly.

Feel a little disappointed.. choosing this hotel is because saw other people's reviews said this hotel is quite nice. The location is very good easy to get grab or can walk around to get restaurant, but the sound insulation of the room is very poor, and the door also has problems and cannot be closed well. Can hear banging sounds from time to time at night, and I can always hear the sound of guests opening and closing doors and banging things upstairs or downstairs. Can't get a good rest for these two night.🙂↕️
