Soeteweide North B&B and Spa

What a lovely place to stop for the night and recharge! Clean, AC, comfortable and a good breakfast to start the next day! Thank you Soeteweide!

We arrived on a Friday at 6pm. Parking is secure and off-street, safe on the property behind remote control gates, which gave us peace of mind. However, we noticed that the parking bays were limited and when all the parking bays are full, some cars are parked in. The check in clerk was friendly and helpful. We were directed to our room which was furnished with a king size bed, TV, Aircon, and 1 chair. The bed linen and towels were crisp and clean. There was an ironing board and iron. Also, a kettle, coffee, sugar, tea and creamers were available. All if this made our stay very comfortable because we had everything we needed. Although the room was cozy our en-suit bathroom was spacious and clean with a shower, toilet and basin. Amenities were provided. We had a restful night's sleep both nights in the extremely comfortable king size bed. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious. Starting with a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juices, tea or coffee. Followed by a hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans and toast, cooked perfectly to order. I've worked in the hospitality industry for many years and so I'm going to mention where some improvement can be made: The dining area needs more attention in the cleaning department. I noticed that not all the tablecloths had been ironed. Some tablecloths were hanging uneven, with one side of the tablecloth touching the floor and the other side of the tablecloth hanging halfway between the table top and the floor. It's the little things and attention to detail that matter. Furthermore, in the lower dining area our breakfast table had ants because the previous mornings crumbs had not been cleaned up. The glass windows and door of this same area were covered in greasy hand prints and finger prints which need a good clean. The window sills need dusting and the cobwebs in the corners need removing. In other words, the dining area needs a thorough clean. We want to thank Soeteweide North B & B for a wonderful and relaxing and comfortable stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would recommend this establishment to other guests, it's definitely value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would not hesitate to book again. My overall rating of this establishment is 9 out of 10.

From the arrival and booking in process to the departure I was treated by friendly personnel. Amenities are of high standard and location for my purposes was perfect.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!! Beds smelly Accommodation shared bathroom Noisy Place needs serious maintenance Worst of all is the owner has serious anger management issues and does not know how to control himself. We asked for a refund and he got aggressive then stormed out and sped away in his vehicle. We felt threatened and had to leave asap as we felt extremely unsafe We battling to get our money back. Stay away from this place
