The Fern Samali Resort

Resort is too good. Hospitality is excellent. Best part of this resort is morning walking safari with Pooja madam. she gives us unique experience of birds chirping and forest walk. we sow so many different birds. Food was good. I really enjoyed at spa. Thank you for best experience of forest and good stay.

Great trip...The resort is well placed at 800 ft above with a natural touch of flora and fauna with ducks and turkey roaming around. Next day morning was the nature trail where we spotted Hornbill, Bulbul, Woodpecker, Owl, Sunbird, Bharadwaj etc. Pooja, the nature trail guide was very friendly and informative, her staff even endured that we had refreshments during the trail. The bullock cart ride with Raja, Sarja and Chetan was yet another add on to take you close to the nature. Food is where there is still scope to improve. Badminton court was well maintained and another way to pump yourself. The sunset from the cottage is a scene not to be missed, and last but not the least, there are magic shows and other activities planned by the hotel to keep you engaged.

Place is located in the jungle. Place is remote atleast 6 hrs from Mumbai ; so it’s better if you take at least 2 to 3 days stay.Not worth for 1 day stay for enjoying the Peace and tranquility of the surrounding. Place is good for all category of customers - families , couples. Kids will surely enjoy it. Rooms are clean and spacious. Rooms match the picture on website 100 percent. The aster room are in three floor, so if you have old people with you suggest to intimate the resort to give a room on same level as ground as they don’t have elevator. Food is palatable. Brkfst nd dinner spread is wholesome . Advisable to take a buffet lunch/ dinner and breakfast in the room cost, as no restaurants near by. Young staff who deals very pleasantly with all. Beaches are far off .***** the route there is lot of greenery .The access roads are in good condition but will not suggest a journey in night hours. If u r planing multiple stops ***** the coast then this resort must be taken as one of the stays. Plan a tour to ganpati Phule ( clean beaches ) from here taking the route of 2 ferry boat ( which accommodates 4 wheeler) which will make the vacation memorable.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful natural environment. Rooms are decent, spacious. The food was good, vegetarian options are good. The salt seasoning was bit too low in many preparations but probably that's deliberate. They had entertaining live music and folk dance programs that made the stay worthwhile. In a place like dapoli where the tourism development is just in it's infancy, this place is way ahead in all respects, the location, the expanse of the property, the service in the dining area (was very dedicated), and the food. They have huge potential, They just need to tie some loose ends for example better upholstery and bed linens, stocking up the unstocked and unclean mini bar, and may be better food options. They have a spa and swimming pool too which we did not use so cannot comment.The staff was polite and helpful, especially Pooja who did her job pretty well.

We had a lovely experience at the Fern samali, Dapoli. It's a huge property, there are many activities to do in the resort. We were staying in Aster (room) top floor , the views from this room are stunning. The entire staff of this resort is exceptional and extremely helpful. The ones at the restaurant and all others, very polite and extremely professional. The room and the views were impeccable. The food here is absolutely brilliant and tasty, you don't have to go anywhere to search for the authentic konkani food. The manager Pooja Gurav was very helpful with various tips and info about what to do in dapoli, where to shop, etc. We felt just one thing about this resort and the rooms, we felt as if they could light up the rooms and the resort space little more. Post Evening it feels a little extra dark since it's situated right next to the forest. But maybe add few more lights in the room too and around the resort if they could increase the lighting, it would be more cheerful. Rest all amazing. This hotel is a Perfect getaway. :)

Great stay and good hospitality. Everything was very well taken care of. Pooja took us on a morning trail for bird spotting and gave us a tour of the property. Would highly recommend going for the morning tour, it's worth the experience sighting bird and a forest trail feel. Good food. We had booked Aster room and had a great view.
