Hotel Villa Maya

No management, property not well maintained with terrible water in the pool. Mould in bathroom. No real restaurant and basic breakfast. Minibar with no glasses or bottle opener. And dirty room on the ground floor with entrance and parking view…. Disgusting place for the high price.

Never again. Complete scam. We booked in for 1 night with our daughter. This hotel promotes itself as a 4 star hotel in St Tropez. In reality it is 2 star that could possibly be seen as a 3 star since you have access to private bathroom facilities. They charged us an outrageous €850 per night, pre paid non refundable, for the “Garden Suite”. In reality they had - literally - converted a garden shed (please see picture) into a cramped double bedroom with a sofa. They simply put a sheet straight onto the sofa as the extra bed for our daughter. Since this was a garden shed the flimsy doors and windows did not protect against either ants nor the 24hr traffic noice. The hotel is just above the main road into St Tropez that is a constant traffic jam in July/August. There were no blackout curtains and the pool lights were on all night so to add to the traffic noice we also had no darkness. I suffered the worst nights sleep ever. The pool is plastic with decking and astroturf around it. Avoid at all cost if you are looking for charm and comfort. Definitely not worth the money! There are plenty of beautiful boutique hotels in St Tropez, this is not one of them!

A part la gentillesse de la personne à l’accueil, je ne conseillerais pas cet établissement. Nous étions dans ce qui est appelé un « chalet » mais qui n’est rien d’autre qu’un abris de jardin aménagé. Le lavabo se décolle du mur, moisissure sur une 15 de cm à partir du sol dans la chambre. Bruyant car la route menant à St Tropez est juste à côté et porte du chalet pas du tout filtrante. Matelas ok
