Mas de La Tour

You will not be disappointed. We stayed for 7 nights in a room for 3 with a 10 year old boy. There are better appointed places to stay in Provence, but few this clean, with so much character and with such good food in the evening. Leave your car in the shade of a solar panelled car park hung with vines offering EV charging. Walk up a lavender lined path to reception. Your host is Julie, daughter of the patron, Daniel. Both are ever present, and Julie works like a dynamo to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Daniel is a fantastic character with much advice and humour. Tariq the chef has been there for 15 years. The food is excellent, imaginative, and great value for money. An inner courtyard with a fountain acts as the restaurant beneath the shade of a tree. There’s a plush indoor restaurant setting for if it rains (it didn’t). There’s a pool table, a table tennis table and a good sized pool. The cleaning staff is worthy of mention. I defy you to find a speck of dust. The setting is delightful with wonderful views—a 10 minute drive from Roussillon. The downside? The place is aging gracefully. Beds are hard and our room lacked a shower and shaver socket. Don’t let this put you off.

This is a real find in my favourite part of France. Only open Easter-Oct which is a shame. Not gushingly welcoming but there is a genuine feeling of wanting your visit to be comfortable. Dining room and bar are the best. Get a chat with the retired owner who sits most days in the courtyard drinking Rose and smiling at everyone. Great with pets too.

Très belle situation géographique où l'on peut profiter du silence L'hôtel est agréable mais mériterait d'être remis à neuf. Tout y est assez vieux. La décoration et le mobilier datent des années 80. L'espace où se trouve la piscine est bien aménagé mais avec du mobilier défraîchi Côté cuisine, le petit déjeuner est bien fourni. Nous n'avons pas profité de la restauration du soir car les menus sont peu saisonniers et ne nous ont pas attiré Nous y retournerons avec plaisir si des travaux d'aménagement et de rénovation sont faits
