Tenuta Sant'Ilario

I decided to have a nicer stop while walking the Via Franchiggena and it is just a bit outside of Gambissi Therme, so an easy walk here. Wonderful stay and resort (although in Feb and only for one night I probably missed all the nice things you could do here when the weather is nicer as the place looked beautiful). But even for a one night overnight stay, it was a wonderfully nice place. Comfortable bed and room. And the restaurant on site was absolutely wonderful--food great and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend a stop here for anyone doing the way.

We arrived at Tenuta Sant"llahrio after a somewhat wet walk from San Miniato ....host and staff made us feel extremely welcome..Beautiful building and environment with clean and comfortable rooms. We were a group of 10 and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant which was just what we needed after a long days walking. In addition to the excellent food all the staff were very helpful and attentive We also enjoyed a great breakfast the following morning which was probably the best on our Tuscan travels, was truly excellent with beautiful fresh local produce ... Would recommend a stay here without hesitation

We had a simply wonderful experience at Tenuta Sant'Ilario! The team that welcomed us is extremely polite and attentive, from reception, breakfast and cleaning. The facilities are wonderful and the restaurant is without a doubt where we ate the best food in all of Italy.

Villa was very cozy and nice! The room was elegant and you feels like in the castle. The staff was very kind and helpfull. The breakfest was superb!🥰 The bruschetta with tomatoes was perfekt! Everything looks very authentic!

A wonderful 12 days staying at this fabulous residence. We arrived during the hottest few weeks of the year, with temperatures reaching almost 40 degrees. The setting is the perfect spot. Panoramic views across the Tuscan countryside. We were located in the main building, a spacious room, well presented and spotlessly cleaned every day. Each morning we woke to a sumptuous fresh breakfast. Full continental and freshly baked, with pastries, fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs and cured meats. Plus of course fresh coffee, which after the first day, was prepared just to our liking without asking. The pool area is a few minutes walk from the main building and is lovely. Again, spotlessly clean and with great views. The property is spread over several acres. Rooms are in the main building, by the reception and breakfast room. The apartments and villas spread around the estate. The team in reception are so helpful. When we were a little too hot in the room, providing extra fans. (It was unusually hot, 10 degrees more than normal). When we needed local guidance, they provided it. So friendly from start to finish. Anything to consider? The road down to the property is rough so if you arrive in a low slung sportscar, beware! Otherwise its all good! Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, all within half an hour. Florence and Pisa only a little further. The two nearest towns also very lovely and with some great places to eat and drink. A great base to explore this region of Italy from if you want to stay in one place. On leaving our hosts left us with a lovely parting comment. We were continuing travels towards Pisa, they told us 'whilst you are in Italy you remain our guests, if you need anything please do get in contact'. Thoroughly recommend.

gorgeous accommodation/estate with amazong views surrounded by beautiful nature! super nice hosts, delicious breakfast, calm and very relaxing atmosphere... perfect for a tuscany stay ... and "in the centre" of all important sightseeing spots :) highly recommended.
