Tamarind Hill

這個酒店在非常隱祕的山路之上，很多突出車都不太好找位置嘛，確實是不是很理想，但裏面的環境還算是非常不錯的，非常的具有原生態。

Such a shame. Beautiful building steeped in history but run down beyond belief. We moved out after one night which was a shame. Some aspects were downright dangerous. I had to keep my foot on a plug so my wife could dry her hair. The AC is incredibly noisy and old. The grounds are generally kept in pretty good condition but the pool area is horrible. I will attach a picture of the view. A picture of the rubbish below. The check in was really just weird. You do the niceties and then are asked what do you want for dinner tonight! Menu? No, we don’t have one. You’ve just arrived and have no idea of your surroundings! Just wrong and quite intimidating. We were the only people who eat there that night, not a sole about. The service was over attentive and the guy just watched us have our meal. Very claustrophobic. If you do stay, eat in Galle.

This was our first time at Tamarind Hill and definitely won’t be our last. What a gorgeous hotel! Has a very old world charm and the decor of the hotel was simply delightful. But what was just out of this world was the service! Everyone from the manager to the chef to all the hotel staff we encountered, it was Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest. And the food, oh my goodness we had the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfast and I could just sit there all day eating that! Every dish that we ate was truly a piece of heaven and the service that went along with it made this experience so memorable. The breakfast was soo good that we skipped lunch and dinner and savored every morsel of the breakfast! Hotels can be great, the food can be delicious but what makes the place that much more appealing is the service and Tamarind Hill has all of that plus a fabulous staff who will make sure your every need is met and the experience is one to remember!
