Residence Inn Gainesville I-75

The hotel was really clean and this half is extremely friendly. The hotel was clean and the pool area was wonderful. They even had an outside grill and area to have some outside BBQ. Art was especially helpful and truly went above and beyond for my family. This trip was special because I was bringing my mother down from Ohio to reconnect with her brothers after 20+ years.

Five star, best day ever, best Wheelchair Accessible room I’ve stayed in, front desk. People are wonderful, general manager is wonderful, People are helpful and wonderful at breakfast, I can wheel under the bathroom sink, the closet is completely accessible, The bed is lower so I can get into it from my wheelchair

Our room was wonderful and the hotel is well kept and attractive. We had a problem with one of the staff, so sadly we are writing this review about our experience. We were on the road for many hours so were disappointed when there was no one at the front desk when we arrived. Eventually someone from housekeeping called the person from the office behind the front desk, his name was Brian. Brian did not know how to tell which rooms had tubs. I always ask this question at the front desk and it’s never a problem. Not a big deal but since I’m writing about our experience I am including it. Later that evening we had an accident and spilled red wine on our bed. I rang the front desk 15 times. Brian eventually picked up and put me on hold. I was on hold for 15 minutes so my husband took a walk to the front desk. No one was there. Eventually someone from housekeeping called Brian who appeared from a cubicle in the office. My husband was at this point just inside the office so Brian ordered him out. He told my husband to see housekeeping for a new set of sheets. He then returned to the back office. I have been a Bonvoy member for a long time and have been to many Marriotts, I have never experienced anything like such poor service.

Hello, I booked this hotel for my parents who were evacuating from hurricane Helene. I put my card on file for them to be able to extend the stay. Each night they were given a hard time by assistant manager Bryan Stipcich. On Friday, after the hotel knew we had a card on file, Bryan Stipcich barged into my elderly mother's room, she was in her pajamas and frightened. My parents are upstanding citizens, they are both retired school teachers, they simply needed a safe space to evacuate to. This manager was very unprofessional and should NOT be in a position of leadership or working with people, they could also tell the staff was a bit frightened. I am not seeking compensation for their stay. I am seeking behavioral correction for this manager. He should not be treating his staff or guests this way. You are opening the door for a lawsuit with this man being in charge. Like I said my card was on file, and I would have spent thousands for them to stay safe. Money was not the issue here and should not have turned into this.

I like this place alot. The breakfast is always ready in the morning. Machelsea was very helpful and kind. Katina made sure to switch my room because i needed a bathtub, immediately. Ayu and Ma' Shawn always keep me smiling. Nikki, Christina, Brandi are very accommodating. The whole squad is cool as a fall breeze.

Clean spacious rooms. Varying breakfasts each morning. Pretty good coffee also if you can believe it. Great, friendly, helpful staff. Close to freeway and shopping. Dogs are allowed which is a cool thing to have in the building, if you love dogs. Loved it all.

We had a two-bedroom suite because I snore and my wife needs a separate room to sleep. As it turns out, the Air conditioning unit in her room made so much noise she ended up having a terrible night. We didn't realize it until we went to bed late in the evening so she ended up trying to sleep on the couch for most of the night. The next morning she told the front desk about the problem and was told A/C units were being replaced but apparently ours hadn't been yet. I asked to have the pet fees deducted from our bill in compensation and ended up having to call back 3-4 times because I kept getting hung up on. In end the management was unwilling to make any adjustment. I think we were treated very unfairly and am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. There are many other places to stay in Gainsville within a mile of this hotel so we have plenty of choices. We will never be back.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I thought this would be a perfect location, and it is very good. Yet... All we could hear was I-75... all day and night. The bigger problem is that we checked in on Wednesday afternoon and noticed the TV in the main room was loosing power and you could hardly see anything. We then asked the front desk to fix, and they said they "put a work order in". By Friday evening still no change and no visit from maintenance. We called and spoke to another attendant and told me "there are no tv's". How does that make it ok or correct? how does that solve the problem? I told her there was a Best Buy right down the street. She proceeded to tell me that she would have maintenance by in the morning to repair/replace the tv. Shockingly no one ever showed. There is no way we were the first patron to have had this issue, but I guess they just continue to sweep this under the rug and keep on moving. Who cares if they ever fix it, you will be gone in a day or 2 most likely. We were there for 4 nights and paid a pretty penny. Why do you just blatantly lie to your guests? NO EXCUSE for that. Oh... and to call down to the front desk... I had to use my cell phone as the phone in our room didnt' work. Which we reported as well and never was fixed.

The staff goes above and beyond to take care of your needs. The rooms are lovely suites with comfortable beds. The kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate me after a surgery I had the previous day. I highly recommend this hotel. ....
