Maistra Select Funtana All Inclusive Resort

We visited as a family of five in Aug 2023 for a week. Initial impressions were great, a bag meal on arrival having missed dinner due to our flight. Day one, woke up early, lovely view from our apartment and great weather, food was ok and lots of choices for breakfast. We ate at the pool bar first day which was nice to snack on. The hotel also provides Pizza at 5pm. The three teenagers enjoyed the water sports provided, however I was a little concerned not life jackets were provided. A duo played a nice set in the evening for entertainment. The next three days we had terrible weather, this made us start to look us look at the facilities in the hotel. Although refurbished, the rooms are small, three persons in deluxe room consists of a small camp bed was not ideal. Rooms were cleaned daily, however we were left without loo roll on two days. The lighting in the corridor is not safe, having activated after you walked down the stairs from the second floor. The most shocking thing is the smell from the communal toilets, which clearly haven’t been cleaned in weeks, also walking passed the gents my wife could see men doing a number one which was unpleasant. Massive lack of evening entertainment during the rest of the week, mediocre food, lack of atmosphere and a struggle to find anything to do. The pool table is awful and needs replacing, did not work. Mini club staff were sat on their phones paying no intention to anything. The all inclusive beer an d wine is poor quality and only local top shelf is served after 9pm. The lack of being able to pay for premium drinks on card was also disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Croatia unless you want to go to bed at 9pm

We had good time there,room was renovated,clean, beach was a minute from our room and very clean sea. Altough the food was sometimes worse than average, pasta always overcooked, meat dry, soft drinks like coke, juices had so “artificial”? taste, coke tasted like coke candy too sweet also the other soft drinks were disgusting. I must admit breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner not much, even tough we had paid all inclusive, we often visited restaurants in Vrsar to get normal good food we wanted on holiday. But the staff was sweet, helpful, nice people especially the waiter Stanko from Fresh Corner. If the food was better I would like to go there next year, but if they won’t do something with the food I won’t come back.

The hotel is newly renovated, rooms are modern, beds are comfy, hotel surroundings and beach is very nice. All inclusive offers have drinks and ice cream all day, + breakfast, dinner, lunch and snacks. Breakfast has a nice variety, the quality of dinner could be improved, it was a little flavourless and boring. All inclusive offer also includes the sun loungers, and many sport opportunities (eg. bikes, kayaks, tennis, mini golf, etc) which is a great addition. Overall it was a great holiday!

Unfriendly staff at the reception, low quality of the food. For the price per day expected much more. At the reception, the male colleague extremely arrogant and rude. When I sent them an email with my complaint, they didn’t even bother responding.

Hôtel moyen Les chambres sont très propre.Coté restauration c’est très correct.Le personnel est accueillant et a l’écoute. Par contre la salle du restaurant est très bruyante ce qui est très désagréable. L’isolation des chambres par rapport au couloir est presque inexistante.

Die Zimmer wurden neu renoviert und haben viel Platz für zwei Personen. Badezimmer war auch renoviert. Die Reinigung des Zimmers lässt zu Wünschen und müsste verbessert werden. Mussten leider die Rezeption einschalten wegen Reinigung des Zimmers und wegen frischen Handtüchern. Dies wurde leider erst am nächsten Tag beseitigt, ob wohl man die Hausdame informiert hatte und am selben Tag vorbeikommen sollte, Schade hat leider nicht geklappt. Der Strand mit den kostenlosen Strandliegen ist super und man kann schön am Strand spazieren gehen. Das Essen ist einfallslos und geschmacklich hätte es besser sein können. Haben schon in verschiedenen Hotels in Istrien Urlaub gemacht und dort war die Auswahl vom Essen und Geschmack besser. Die Brotauswahl in den anderen Hotels war auch besser. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht und schauten leider von unserem Balkon nur in Bäume und Sträucher, Schade. Auch wenn das Hotel All inklusive ist, das Preis Leistung Verhältnis in der Hauptsaison finde ich etwas überzogen, für das Geld gibt es bessere.
