Residencial Chafariz /Queimada

This is a safe and clean place. The location is excellent with great walkability. The bed quality is poor. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything. The restaurant below will keep you up on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekday evenings were not nearly as bad. The front desk is efficient, though provide only the minimum. One small bar of soap is provided, don't ask for another. It will be refused.....never have I been to a place that is so cheap.

Great budget hotel very close to the cathedral with its bells which were pleasant ringing out quarter, half and on the hour. Very central location with restaurants right on the doorstep. Room was clean, made up daily with towel changes. Staff both reception and housekeeping were nice. You need to ask for a kettle and extension lead. No tea making facility/ microwave in the room I stayed in. I did not sample breakfast. Not a bad little place and I’d probably stay again.
