Duas Torres Hotel anmeldelser

Pros: Location, decent sized room with kitchenette, price, bus stop right in front of hotel, shopping center across the way with a grocery store, pool. Cons: Room was not ready by 2pm and we had to wait half an hour and missed a welcome meal for the wedding we were there to attend. Miriam was very rude and did not even apologize. We did arrive before check in time so put our stuff away and understood we had to wait till 2pm and when I asked her when the room would be ready she said “whenever house keeping is done”….your poor time managing skills is not my fault. We asked her to have Paulo the manager call us when he was available and of course that never happened. Bathroom smelled bad…it got more noticeable as the time went on. The towels were really rough but the pool towels were decent quality (only replace these once a week so don’t chuck them…they don’t tell you at check in but it’s in the welcome packet in the room). No toaster unless you rent it…same as the safe. The brochure mentioned they had items like toothpaste (we assumed for purchase) but when we asked we are laughed at and told no. We also did not want housekeeping to waste their time cleaning up our rooms so we usually always put do not disturb and try to save them time but the one thing we wanted was a fresh bottle of water which apparently they only do if you have them make your room each day. The walls are thin and you can hear everything…including people using the bathroom. The bed is not comfortable but it’s not the worst either when you have been super exhausted and just want to sleep. As we were leaving our transfer that was picking up got a validated ticket to exit and it wasn’t working…it took him almost 10 minutes of dealing with Miriam again to get the gate to open and while I wasn’t there to hear what transpired I do know that the driver was as unhappy and said she was rude. All in all if you want a cheap room and don’t mind the moldy smell and lack of customer service then this would be the place for you. We were hoping this would have been a much better experience as we will now be visiting much more frequently and prefer to stay at the same hotel. But instead we were so displeased that I actually took the time to write my first review ever on TripAdvisor.
