Premier Inn Preston East

Booked for two nights and was very disappointed to discover on arrival that the adjoining Beefeater restaurant was closed, and had been for some time. We knew this Premier Inn was out of town with no other restaurants close by. The photograph shown on the website clearly has the Beefeater sign visible. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The outside and car park are tatty. We had to search out a member of staff to check-in, who explained we could eat in Premier Inn restaurant but my husband, in his search for a member of staff, had found the restaurant to be dark and dingy. Member of staff was friendly but looked a bit embarrassed. Room was clean but needs updating. We ate at the Anderton Arms about a mile or so towards Preston. Not really walkable as lonely and dark. On returning on Saturday evening reception was packed with people queuing to check in and only one member of staff available to deal with check-in, answer phone and sort out some kind of emergency that was taking place. More staff needed. Not up to usual Premier Inn standard, we will avoid this one in future

3 nights at a total of £382 P, 1st night could have been food poisoned by cold garlic mushroom, then my room wasn’t cleaned, 2nd night fish was cold and 3 rd night people walked out because the service was shocking. My starter was cold. An hour to come out not really happy will never set foot in this hotel and I have seen some rude staff in other hotels and had some sacked for there poor hospitality skills waste of money never stay here for food ps Kelly Is really nice member of staff she needs a pay rise to deal with this all

We are staying at hotel for 5 month training course and staying Monday to Friday. Kelly and the staff are amazing. They are welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for me and my colleagues. The rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast and meals are lovely. Nothing is any trouble. 5 stars for Kelly!

One member of staff that stands out and goes above and beyond for the guest. Exceptional service, setting a prime example to others. Will definitely be re visiting due to her work ethic and customer service. Would like to thank Madie for her efforts

Amazing staff! Kelly on the front desk was above and beyond! Made me feel very welcome and at ease. As a trans woman at the start of my transition, I get a little nervous going new places, but Kelly and Maddy both made me feel very at ease. Cannot recommend them more highly. Food was great and good portions! Bed was super comfy and pillows were soft and relaxing. Very quiet area and a great nights sleep!

5 of us stayed here for a family funeral in nearby Fulwood. Situated on a business park (car showrooms) with ample secure parking available. Rooms were very clean and comfortable as expected in a Premier Inn but it was the staff that made our stay exceptional. It was obvious they were short staffed, but every single person we encountered was warm, friendly and helpful. The restaurant served very good food and we ate dinner here both nights. (Recommend the tomato, chilli linguine and chocolate torte!) Special mentions must go to Tara, Kelly, Elena, Leah and Kanye who are a credit to the hotel and quite frankly deserve a massive pay rise for the way they conducted themselves so professionally. Highly recommended.
