Camping Sandaya Riviera d Azur

We just spent a week here in a 3star mobile home. We normally book 4star at Sandaya, but there was no availability. We thought having only one bathroom and toilet would be okay for just 1 week with 2 adults and 2 little children. Little did we know that 3stars means dirty and worn-out ☹️ We did complain at the reception desk, they took note but nothing was done with it. The swimming pool area is too small for such a big location. Definitely not enough sun beds. And what is the issue with Sandaya and providing shade at the pool area? Do they all want us to get skin cancer? That’s not okay at all! We ate one day at the restaurant and one of the kids had the lasagna from the kids menu. The portion was so small, we had to orden an additional main dish for her. They said that Sandaya HQ decides the portions and they just follow instructions. I would not spend my money and valuable holiday time here again.

We have a motorhome and usually stay on 5 star sites, this site was more like a 2 star. Pitch was over grown with weeds, no hot water in the shower block, we were told to use our own shower, washing machines had been removed from our area. Rubbish piled up consisting of old plastic chairs and piles of wood. We complained along with several other people but no one was interested, we booked for 5 nights and left after 1. Head office offered us points towards our next stay, no refund. Very disappointed

I can't tell you how much to avoid this campsite. Left after 2 nights. Service in restaurant (when open) is the worst I've ever experienced. Smoking while serving tables. Being ignored. Told Aperol us the same as martini! They have no experience whatsoever. Pool is filthy! And falling apart. Couldn't wait to leave!!!!

Please been mindful booking with Sandaya I wanted to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. On 22nd of May. Then also the price of my mobile had gone down by over 400e for the same dates. I contacted them to explain my situation and ask to cancel but to contact me first by email or phone. And stressed i cannit afford to lose my deposit. One week later I got email cancelled my holiday. Then I contacted them again and they agreed to my holiday at lower price on 28/05/24 I paid I full Then the very next day canceled my holiday altogether without my consent. Going off an old email from the 22nd of May, and held my deposit of over 413e I'm shocked I have email serval times since and to no avail. Very vertybad to deal with Please be aware. You cannot contact them by phone I'm due to going 2 weeks with my children and I have to look for another campsite now. Awful customer service As a loyal customer for years I will never book with them again. To think they can rob me.

This is absolutely not a 5 star site. The facilities we encountered were about a 2 Star in terms of the camping. Stayed for a week in our own caravan. We were placed in an area near the pool which was clearly repurposed static pitches. We chose this site as it had grassy pitches and states you could relax "in tranquility". In reality it was a gravel pitch with music booming until 11.30 at night and for much of the day. When I say booming - it was enough to make our caravan shudder. We have young kids including an 8 month old baby during our stay. Both the gravel pitch and noise were wholly unsuitable with a crawling baby. The site is falsely advertised. In addition, the lovely washrooms on their photos were at the other end of the site and instead we had a portacabin outside style which either had no hot water or would not keep a steady temperature (either scalding or freezing). There were only 4 unisex showers and 4 unisex toilets (2 missing toilet seats which were not replaced despite raising awareness during our week long stay) and as they are right by the bar and pool they were often utilised by those using other facilities meaning a long wait. They were often dirty and missing toilet paper. For 5 stars I expect a decent shower. The nearest water and waste points were right at the opposite side of the camp site meaning a long 10 minute walk each way in the sun to empty the waste then repeat to fill the water. We resorted to having to use our car to carry and fetch water. Everywhere else we stayed around Europe on our 6 week trip had water on the pitch and for less money. Other guests inconsiderate parking made it difficult to get our caravan in and out of the site. The pool area is poorly maintained and poorly designed. Most of the water is very deep and where it is shallow the poolside is narrow making it difficult to supervise children. There is very limited shade and the pool is often heaving. Getting a sunbed or shade was a challenge. The security guard on the gate for the pool was rude and unhelpful (eg watching us struggle with the buggy and not opening the gate or even moving out of the way). He was so rude to me on one occasion I didn't want to return to the pool that day (he was unnecessarily very confrontational about my disability instead of being kind about it). Music booms so loudly by the pool between 10-12.30 and after 3pm that sat next to each other we had to shout to hear each other. I don't mind music, but the level was excessive. The evening entertainment was a good effort (albeit not our taste) but was ill thought out and at times inappropriate. For example making a joke of Princess Diana and showing wild west shoot outs on the big screen immediately after the kids disco before we had left with small children. It was very loud and very late. Kids couldn't utilise kids club as it was all in French and inappropriate activities for their age group. 5 and 7 year old boys want to play football or games not sit and do art

Anything but 5-Star. If you wish to be kept awake until 4 or 5 a.m. by scrraming gangs of feral youths, then book Sandaya. Or maybe if you'd like to try and sleep beside a plethora of loudly banging toilet doorways, book Sandaya. Or wish to use the most disgusting bathroom facilities, then this is your place. The intermittent shower temperatures and the raw excrement splattered over the facilities are a must-see. Or, maybe you'd like to get rid of one of your pesky children by placing them under the care of Sandaya lifeguards. They're too busy laughing and chatting with each other all day than to actually look at the pool, which is so clouded with disgusting filth that you can't see the bottom. Or go somewhere else? The choice is yours. Staying at Camping Sandaya Riviera is a disaster you don't need in your life, no matter how badly you need a holiday.
