If you’re looking for a luxurious stay in the valley with a charming old-world meets modern day character, then this is the place for you. The rooms are just stunning with a tranquil pool area just outside each one. The courtyard provides the perfect place to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a gin & tonic in the day whilst taking in the peaceful ambiance of this place. When you’re ready to explore Franschhoek there’s bicycles on offer for you to take on a ride through the village and surrounding vineyards. Or it’s just a short 2 minute walk and you’re right in the heart of the village For us it was primarily the people that run this place that made our stay what it was. The whole team has fantastic knowledge of the area & encourages you to relax, enjoy & explore during your visit. Nothing is too much of an ask either with the excellent service that’s offered during all hours of the day. My Husband was especially a fan of the delicious offerings during breakfast. This stay, although short, really made our honeymoon & we wish we had more time to enjoy this gorgeous place. We’d highly recommend the Avondrood to anyone visiting franschhoek.

Lovely accomodation with friendly and helpful staff. Room was huge with everything you could want. Short Walk (+2/3 mins) into town centre with lots of great places to eat, drink and shop. A great place to make the most of the surrounding areas

An amazing two night stay in Avondrood. The staff went above and beyond to make our trip so personalised and the room was amazing. Couldn’t recommend it more. The bed was so fluffy and comfortable and the breakfast was freshly made and delicious

Fantastic location and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Justin couldn't do enough for us and really made our stay comfortable. Bedroom was big and so was the bathroom. Shower was excellent bed really comfy. Would 100% recommend this to anyone staying in Franchoek

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Avondrood. We were warmly welcomed, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and full of charm perfectly suited to the spirit of Franschhoek. We particularly appreciated the central location, which allowed us to explore many of the surrounding attractions with ease. Breakfast was excellent, and the pool area was a lovely spot to relax. We highly recommend it — 100%!

We spent 2 nights here and wish it had been longer. From a practical point of view, the location is perfect just a short walk to the wine tram and excellent restaurants in a quiet and safe location. However, it is the quality of the rooms, staff and food that made it outstanding. Everybody we met was so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. The room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and was beautifully decorated and spacious. We really hope to return one day to this wonderful guesthouse.
