Hare & Hounds Inn

We held our Christmas get together for our small team of 9. Easy to book. Orders were sent ahead by email. The staff were very friendly and nothing was to.much trouble . The table was set out so nice with all the added extras . Christmas table decorations and Christmas crackers . The service was excellent as was the food. They have a Christmas Fayre menu which offers a two course for a reasonable price . The food was well presented and was absolutely delicious cooked by the famous Chef Steve and his assistant Highly recommended and thank you we were all really satisfied not one complaint.

Once a month, an old pal and I treat ourselves to a full English breakfast. We try different places in and around the local area. November choice The Hare and Hounds Foulridge I was impressed by the experience; the food was fantastic, well-cooked and presented in a timely manner. Nothing worse than waiting for food, especially breakfast the portion size was a little large for me, but I made the effort. Served by a very polite and pleasant young lady who made us feel very welcome making sure everything was just right. The pub itself was spotless very clean bright and airy well well-maintained, overall a very warm friendly atmosphere a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without Distraction. Next time you're driving through Foulridge and fancy a relaxing meal do yourself a favour, you can't miss it and you won't be disappointed. They also have a grand selection of drinks behind the bar, Which I am hoping to try next time. thank you, the staff, for making our morning and setting us up for the day

We had our evening meal here on 30th August. The menu was very limited, so I opted for the cheese and onion pie with chips and mushy peas; my wife for the scampi and chips. The pie tasted nice and hadn't been ruined by using potatoes but had been either warmed in a microwave oven or had been kept warm in a small container, as it was horribly soggy and over-chewy. My wife's scampi was dry. We come here to east Lancashire quite regularly and have never been to the Hare and Hounds before. After this meal we won't be going there again.

This place is under new ownership and wow what a beautiful little gem! Well equipped, immaculately clean and well decorated rooms, the staff are very friendly. The food is beautiful here and the cocktails are delicious! The added bonus of being able to bring dogs for some rooms is great, lots of beautiful walks near by. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a couple of nights booked as we were attending an event over the weekend. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel so welcome. We were up and away very early both mornings, missing out on breakfast. The manager very kindly accommodated this and gave us a selection of cereals and much more, so we could eat before heading out. We ate in the bar both evenings as the food was great. Very reasonably priced and good portions. We would only have one suggestion, which would be to replace the mattress as we could feel the springs. The reason we didn’t knock a star off, was simply because the staff were so wonderful and made up for it. We will be staying here again next year!

The staff was very welcoming and polite. The food here is fantastic as well. It is a very homey place to stay. There is a town nearby that provides plenty of fun exciting things to do. If I were to come back to England I would make sure to stay at this Inn for part of my time.
