Chimpundu Lodge

Beautiful cottages with serene views of the forest and easy access to the chimps. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The cottages are very spacious and the staff were extremely attentive to our every need including cleaning our shoes after muddy trekking.

AMAZING!!!!!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! We loved just sitting on our balcony looking into the forest!!!!!! There were so many BIRDS and MANY MONKEY SIGHTINGS!!!!!! Room was VERY SPACIOUS and GORGEOUS!!!!!! I loved having the large soaker tub, especially since chimpanzee trekking turned out to be way more physically taxing than expected! Our entire stay from chimp trek/transportation was arranged by Chimpundu and they were great to deal with! TRACY and DOREEN were always very friendly!!!!!!!

Chimpundu lodge is located just a few mins away from the chimpanzee tracking site, making it a very convenient location. The property is very spacious, sparkly clean with a lovely view. A special shout out to Joseph for going out of his way to make my stay comfortable.

We stayed at the Chimpundu Lodge for two nights and absolutely loved our experience. The lodge is nestled away in a quiet area, very close to the chimp trek entrance and Bigodi swamp walk. The rooms are very spacious and stocked with nice amenities to rest up after trekking. The staff here is very friendly and attentive to the guests needs. Shout out to the master of multiple languages, Joseph, who would always greet us and talk to us during meal times and down time. Other staff members like Gad were also very helpful, getting our dirty boots and leg gaitors washed right away. Highly recommend this lodge if you're looking for a relaxing stay near Kibale National Park.

Chimpundu Lodge is magnificent, Beautifully decorated cottages in Kibale National Park keeping with the African experience. Chef Bosco did not disappoint every meal was a true culinary experience. Doreen & Joseph thought of everything during meal time and enjoyed interacting with us and other patrons. Doreen is VERY good at her job and is definitely an asset to the wait staff. Brian enjoyed making cocktails during and after happy hour, not mention interacting with the guests. We met Madam Betty, the marketing director she was very interested in our experience and suggestions on any improvements. She was genuinely concerned in improving her guests experience, very friendly.

Great place, REALLY great staff. They made us feel very welcome. We stayed here for 1 night and now we feel very refreshed. It's very close to the chimp trek and we also did the swamp tour (which is alot more pleasant than it sounds) Highly recommend

Had a fantastic one-night stay at Chipmundu Lodge. The setting is beautiful, with the lodge tucked right into nature, making it a peaceful escape. The staff were super friendly and accommodating (even helped us with some car issues). The room was fantastic with a very beautiful bath, and the food was great—fresh and tasty. Plus, it’s in a perfect spot if you’re planning to visit Kibale National Park. All in all, a great experience! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone passing through.

Visited Chimpundu lodge in May 2024 during a familiarization trip in Uganda. The lodge is top tier. The environment surrounding and in the lodge is so conducive. The staff are so friendly. They treat you as one of their own. They understand their job very well. Always very happy to serve and interact with the guests. Special mention to Gad for being such a wonderful host during our stay at the lodge. He ensured that the guests were comfortable and well taken care of. He understands and loves his job. He was happy to serve which is such a beautiful trait. The lodge is so beautiful. The luxury cottages so spacious and very private. You get an opportunity to enjoy nature from your own private deck. The whistling of the trees, the chirping birds and the numerous gorgeous monkeys that grace the spaces. The lodge is a paradise. I really loved the size of the rooms. Very spacious and homely. It was a pleasure meeting Madam Florence the proprietor of the lodge. Florence is so graceful and friendly. She was so welcoming and humble. What else would you be looking for when you visit Kibale? Chimpundu lodge has everything you need. It's beautiful, well maintained, very luxurious, good staff and to add cherry on the cake, a very humble proprietor. 100% recommend!

We spent a fantastic time in this wonderful lodge,very nice and helpful people, they pampered us a lot, the site is really luxurious,the food was formidable,the price is highly appropriate,the nearby entrance of the chimp-tracking station is another highlight
