We stayed for one night and found the hotel to be decent overall. While it wasn’t luxurious, it met our basic needs comfortably. The standout feature is definitely the location—absolutely fantastic and convenient for getting around. Great for a short stay if you’re looking to be close to everything.

Basic hotel , prices have risen over past few years but still good value Buffet style food with plenty of choice and good value for price

It is an old styled hotel with lots of rooms on one floor. The sound proof is okay. The bed is not well fixed when I went in but the receptionist is nice n friendly. But considering the price, you got everything u need. It is right in front of the Harbour which is pretty decent.

Spectacular stay as always, I upgraded to a balcony a room and we weren’t disappointed. Amazing views of the harbour, beach and the white cliffs of Dover on the large balcony. At night it was lovely clear skies and we could see France from our balcony. Room was a great size with homely furniture and furniture for the balcony too. All clean and up to a high standard. Beach and harbour is just a 2 minute walk across the road. Bar and restaurant yet again superb! I went with a dog and had no problems getting meals. Staff as always super polite and helpful they are a credit to the hotel! Highly recommend The Grand Burstin to anyone!

Has everything you would expect a budget hotel to have. Extra pillow in the wardrobe and the choice of mugs and plastic drinking glasses. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

It was just ok for the money we spent but wouldn’t stay again. Put on first floor with room near end of corridor and we had to ask to move as the smell was making us feel sick in the corridor and the room!! I walk with a stick as not long had knee replacement and honestly the lifts were out of action except for 1,🥲Moved to 3rd floor which was ok but we cleaned the bathroom as poo onside of toilet and basin 🤮. Can honestly say this Hotel now needs a massive cash injection or pulled down and I have stayed in the past and same furniture for years? I can honestly say I actually felt depressed staying there 😢😢

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the location very convenient, just a 5-minute walk to High Street. However, the cleanliness was average, and the decor felt quite outdated. The service was also just okay. Overall, it was a decent stay, but improvements could be made.

Location and view were good, clientele left a lot to be desired, bad language being used in Close proximity to others in public area and lift. Cleanliness also not up to a good standard dirty mirror in bathroom, thick layer of dust along top of curtains, behind toilet yellow staining spots, did try to talk to reception about issues, there were long check in queues, at the times I tried to speak to someone then tried to call to reception number given, no answer each time; consequently only stayed one night instead of two

We went to the hotel, but the room we stayed in the window was broke. They changed the room for us that when we went to the second room the toilet did not work at all. Wasn’t happy about it. I don’t recommend anyone else to stay at the moment.

The hotel is in a really nice location, I can see why it has some low reviews related to the decor etc, and it probably does need a spruce up, but it has a very grand dining room with a sizeable breakfast selection. Attentive and quick to serve staff and check in was done within minutes. While it's not much for the pool, this was the only downside. If you are staying in a hotel and it says it has a pool it should be free to guests. I appreciate as it's on the ground floor it maybe hard to police or check who is a guest but that could be sorted with barriers that you use the card to scan in. Overall very impressed and would stay again if we were in Folkestone

Staff are amazing, beds are comfy, it’s a great location, it’s perfect for what you need if you plan on being out most of the day. Most guests are friendly and make it a great stay too so if you want to chill in the evenings the bar area is great!

Friendly staff great hotel close to the town and my dad's care home. Comfortable bed clean and cosy room. I loved it thank you. 5 star's from me.

We came to stay for four nights and ended up staying for 14… love it here. They have everything going on for every interest. It may not be be the flashiest or the poshest but the price is amazing and all the essentials are taken care of. Meals are really reasonable and are well presented. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. It feels like a happy holiday place. Don’t overlook this place thinking the price reflects quality… and to top it all off the hotel is opposite the most beautiful ha tv our where the sun rises every morning
