Skyggnir Bed and Breakfast

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights (our home-base & break from driving from the North), and we were so happy about being in the middle from all the places we wanted to see. We visited Geysir, then Gullfoss, on Day 2 (1st day was resting after that long drive), then enjoyed the hot pot from the neighbor for a small fee. Day 3 we visited the Blue Lagoon, then Reykjavik (used Parka App for street parking) & ate at Icelandic Street Food (restaurant) for the experience of local food. On the way back to our lovely Skyggnir B&B, we used the B&B’s advice & ate fresh ice-cream (you could see the cows) & went to Bruafoss (wasn’t on my list but soooo happy we saw the blue waterfall -Parka App was useful here, too). Our B&B also mentioned a Tarn, so we climbed up a mountain (steep-hiker’s heaven) & saw a lake on top of the mountain. Skyggnir is a perfect location for visiting the Golden Circle, with family. Other information- We stayed in 2 small rooms (small=warmer), and behind the door was so much space for 2 suitcases & a heavy duty rack to hang stuff up, a night stand, plenty of plugs (look up on the shelf), towels & bed linen. Plenty of everything a family would need, in all common areas, so if we ever come back to Iceland, “Skyggnir B&B would be our first choice & they are reasonably priced for families.” Enjoy!

Molto pulito, la sala comune era un ambiente molto familiare, ottima selezione di te'. Colazione un po' scarna ma in linea con lo standard (pancarré, formaggio, affettati, cornflakes). Materassi vecchi e con le molle rovinate, biancheria del letto sintetica, due soli bagni x tutte le stanze.

Camera piccola (altrimenti sarebbero stati 5 pallini), cucina pulita e ben attrezzata, spazi comuni buoni. Due bagni per 6 camere. La colazione è inclusa nel prezzo, pane in fette, latte, yoghurt, marmellate, cereali. La posizione in mezzo alla campagna permette una bella passeggiata serale, i gestori sono estremamente gentili e cordiali.
