After thoroughly researching where to stay in Florence we opted to stay here. We are really glad that we did. The location was excellent as it was in easy walking distance of all the major sights without being on a busy or noisy street. It was in a 500+ year old building which gave it charm but everything was up to date. The room was large, very comfortable and quiet with a high quality bed. The bathroom facilities were excellent. The breakfast was fantastic with good variety of food options but also a big selection of home made baked goods which we loved. But another huge benefit was the owner who really cares about her clientele and wants you to enjoy your time in Florence. She was a font of knowledge about things to do and the restaurants. We hope to return to Florence and we certainly would like to stay here again as I don't think anywhere else could replicate the positive overall experience we had here.

This was the 1st time traveling alone and has to have been one of the best experiences of my life. Barbara, her husband and staff made me feel so welcome and were so accommodating. The beautiful B&B is minutes from everything and I could see the Duomo from my window. I was lucky enough to have my own private balcony and sat out there many times. The breakfast included, was out of this world as Barbara loves to bake. They even provided me with great gluten free options every morning which was so refreshing and eased my stress of finding food to eat. Barbara also knew where to eat with gluten intolerant issues and had great suggestions for seeing Florence and trips outside the city. The B&B was very safe and secure and required several keys and codes to enter. As a solo female traveler, this made me feel very safe. I got to talk to Barbara on several occasions, about Florence, the B&B, herself and family and it added another layer to my Florence vacation that I think will be my best travel experience ever. I highly recommend Barbara and her B&B for an outstanding vacation in Florence.

We had a lovely time at this B&B in Florence. We were a family of three (parents and teen) and enjoyed our stay in a triple room at this well-located property. The property owners were very kind, shared lots of local tips and suggestions on food, excursions etc. and accommodated all of our needs. The breakfast was abundant and delicious.

We stayed at Residenza il Villino in Florence the last week of May and had a WONDERFUL experience! Barbara is a gem!! She made us feel so welcome upon arriving, helping us with our bags, sharing recommendations for restaurants, provided suggestions on sights to see and then of course us her amazing and delicious baking skills that she served each morning along with the full breakfast of eggs, bacon, cereals, etc! Our stay was top notch! The hotel is great and within VERY easy walking distance to all of the Florence sights. If you have a car, it is best to either return it to the rental or talk with Barbara about a parking garage before you arrive. We had a wonderful experience.. stay here - you will be glad you did!! We had such a lovely stay at this historic and comfortable treasure. Barbara was so patient and welcoming, spending so much time with us to offer advice and helpful information to make the most of our time in Florence. We felt like family, and are so happy we were introduced to Italy in this way. The homemade breakfast was so good, and the location was excellent. Near everything and very quiet and safe area. We loved every bit of our time here.
